What I feel about the changing of LoL
I rarely post. Perhaps never posted. Because I am not really good at English. So, to anyone who bother to read on, please accept my apology in advance, for my English can be hard to understand. (For which I have been scorned in game and was asked to quit playing, for LoL is an English game) But after finding those surveys sent to my e-mail a/c, I think, if Riot really cares what I, a little non-professional player, think, I am willing to tell them. If they don't really care, it still doesn't hurt anyone, does it? So, here are my thoughts.
I would like Riot to know that I don't really care about how others (pro or not) play LoL. How do they think the game have to be played. I may try to learn something from them. But I want to play the game my way and have fun. I don't understand why people are forcing everyone to play the game in the same style. Why must it be 1 top, 1 mid, 2 bot and 1 jungle?
What is more ridiculous, when the opposite team do not follow this "rule", say, having 2 top instead of one, the top laner will probably constantly demand helps from allies. And no matter how much help his allies give him. No matter how his allies win their lanes. If he finds it hard to play (couldn't get fat or even get himself owned), he will forfeit the game and blame the team.
What I think about this is, if you really think that is the only way to play or win the game, you should be happy when the enemies ARE NOOBS that they do not follow the one true rule! You should be able to take advantage of it and win!
But no, they will not. They cannot. Yet, they insist that every living man on the earth have to follow this rule.
And you know what? It looks to me that Riot also agrees with this. They are making changes to give each champion a fixed role. In other words, they are limiting the champions to be played in certain way. I know they didn't really hard limited it. But the difference of the effectiveness is SO HUGE that I think most of the champions are no longer valid for different styles. Unless the difference of skill level between 2 teams are also AS HUGE.
It's not that I don't agree that each champion should have unique strengths. Actually I am happy about that. But I think it should be more about how different champions shine in different situations. Not about what they are limited to do so that they can be fit into some stupid catalogue.
For me, LoL is still a fun game. But it seems that you are making it less funny. By limiting how the game is to be played. Or shall I say, by making it more of a program to be operated than a game to be played?
I never liked this (from what I heard it's called) EU style, but I played along. I don't want to be the one ruining other's gaming experience. But come to think about it, mine is being ruined.
