MMR (Please do something about this)

Started off my series 0-2. Played the next game, and explained to a random person that I started 0-2, he said "that's when I usually dodge to start it over" but I said, nah. I can do this. Won the next two games. How does riot's MMR congratulate me? This is how:

(Other team from last season) Plat 4 Plat 2 Diamond 5 Plat 4 Plat 3

My team (Me) Plat 2 Plat 5 Gold 4 Gold 2 Gold 5

How does this make any sense? I know its a new season.. and it completely refreshes, but I knew going into that game we had little chance. There should be some kind of balance of MMR placement. From the previous season it should take into factor a little bit of ranks. Not all, I really dont mind getting placed with a gold here and there but 2 lower tier golds on my team with the other team high plat tier and a diamond? It's just torturing not only me but also the Golds.

BTW the two golds stat lines from the game combined, this was from the JG and ADC positions: 11-26

Averaging 13 deaths, literally made it impossible to win this game. Rito, please respond.
