Because they WANT to to PAY attention. If you are going to take the time to play a game, Ranked especially, then you should give it your full focus or just literally stop playing all together.

Nope, it sure isn't. Just a waste of my time, and the 9 other people waiting 5 minutes to get a que to pop. Even when its not me, I've gotten up to three returned to que because a player didn't lock in notifications in a row making getting into a game take a half hour. Thats just fucking stupid.

They have to make you lock in because of the new preference select they added.

I find this rather funny actually. On one hand you clearly care enough about your promos to make this post which tells me you take this game seriously. Then on the other hand you don't take this game seriously enough to click a bright orange button with a countdown timer and proceed to whine on a forum instead of blame yourself and move on.
