Blue team has an advantage....

It has come to my attention that the Blue team has an advantage: the HUD placement. Since the HUD is at the bottom of the screen, they have a clear view of the top of the screen, enabling them to see further up the lane. Red team on the other hand cant see as far down the lane. Although this may seem petty and pointless, I feel like it affects the game to a degree. There have been times when long range abilities (excluding global or long range ults) have hit me , because the enemy, on red team, could see me but I couldn't see him. It can get frustrating.

Please up-vote if you would like having the option to switch the HUD to the top of the screen!

This has unfortunately always been the case and is one of the reasons why LCS games switch sides after each game.

I remember hearing about the red team actually having the advantage. I'll report back if I can find where I heard it from.

EDIT: found it.... but yeah I was wrong blue has the advantage, red gets the advantage in faster paced games. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X31K6jammH0 : Game theory by Mat Pat I remembered it as red having the advantage cause red gets an advantage in those fast paced games, and he talks about that for the first half of the video. According to the results I sifted through, It seems blue is undeniably at an advantage, I wouldn't attribute this to the UI though, more to map layout and the locations of various features ( dragon, blue, golumn start for blue side bot lane not that anyone does that anymore)

This is only an issue if you play locked screen which most higher level people don't do. If you are playing locked screen I'd recommend you learn how to play unlocked screen.
