The current state of meta

What exactly is the point of the game being so focused around teamwork that one person can no longer carry themselves through soloQ without being slave to whatever meta is currently in place. It's frustrating when every single game now you see people playing MonkeyKing Garen being able to absolutely demolish the damage most mid lane mages can deal. I miss the meta where skill could carry you out of your rank and you didn't have to rely on meta champions. It feels like you're way more forced this season to play something that has above a 50% win rate with anything under being nonviable even when played correctly. I don't know how many people encounter it (but majority of the community is bronze-silver) but in lower elo you can't do anything anymore because the game relies so much on your team even being able to group. One person can lose you the game by dying too quickly or being caught out or feeding early but one person can't carry the game unless the team plays around them. Let's be honest too..this is a game and games are meant to be fun, most people (besides support mains) tend to want to carry themselves because it gives a sense of accomplishment instead of getting yourself carried in which you don't improve. Riot needs to make it to where solo carrying is viable again and off-meta picks don't get you face stomped into the ground. Where's my Azir Orianna Syndra Taliyah love riot? Azir hasn't seen the light of day in almost a full season... Why is it that we have 140 champions but you typically only see about 30 different ones being played if not less...

#The meta is hoping your team doesn't suck because of matchmaking

The only players that are allowed to complain about meta, are the full 5 premade teams (probably 1% of the playerbase)
