8/2 Placements and still Bronze V

So I placed 8 wins out of 10 and still placed in Bronze V. I honestly never thought I would get higher then bronze. In fact I thought I was going to get at least bronze 2-3 at the most and bronze 4 at the lowest but make me understand this. I won 8 times out of 10 in placements. I haven't played rank maybe over a year and more. Which was in season 5 by the way. And I was placed in bronze 5. The same thing happens in season 3 years ago when I place 8/10. I was still placed in Bronze V. So let me ask this, what is the rank system you have looking at??

Placements ARE NOT A CLIMBING TOOL. They are not here to boost you through the ranks. The are not here to advance you a full tier. They arent here to "escape ELO hell". They're not a get out a jail free card.

Almost everyone gets placed lower. You're not getting special teatment

I never said it was. But the placement puts you in the skill area of what you play plus last seasons ranking. News flash I never played last year so there is no record plus I did good 8 out of the 10 matches I had. Plus I never said I would be placed high hence "Bronze 4 at the lowest". But to do good for 8 games and be placed in B5 because that is my skill area says alot about this game. I was hoping a good start of 3-4 Bronze but instead I got put in the bottom. It's not a good placement system in the end. It needs to be looked at. Then there guys below who get placed Bronze 1 with 5/5 score. I don't mind climbing out of ELO hell but that fairness in the placement system is not worth the need to keep using it. Just place us in Bronze V while your at it in the end.

Uh right. I went 5/5 on my placements and got Bronze 1. You must have played very poorly.

Your mmr still gets soft reset each season, even if you don't play, and you're placed based on your mmr at the end of placements. Placements have a higher than normal impact on your mmr so they're important, but they won't enitrely fix an mmr that's already super low from previous seasons.

Still, if you feel you're upper bronze skill, it won't take long to climb over the actual bronze 5 riff raff, so you'll be able to fix your mmr before too long.
