So I've noticed that a lotta people (including myself) who do exceptionally well in games... But receive only an A ranking for their champion gameplay... Was wondering if someone could shed a bit of light on why that is LOOL.
(I know I'm a Jungler, but I had a friend who went 2/0/15 and was still A+ for support Nami)

It being graded based on the average of other people playing the same champ in the same role. (So your score with jungle yi is being graded on other people playing jungle yi and Nami support is being graded based on other people support Nami) SO STOP COMPARING YOUR SCORE TO PEOPLE IN THE SAME GAME IT DOES NOT WORK LIKE THAT!!!!
KDA IS NOT THE ONLY THING IT IS GRADED ON!!!! So many people think the only thing that matters is having a high kill count with little death when it so far from it. There are many other factors including:
-CS
-Wards used
-Pink Wards used
-Wards destroyed
-Dragons killed
-Towers destroyed
-Rift Herald/Baron
-Potions/Elixirs used
so it grades you relative to other players of the champion in that same role. so your score might be good for like a janna or something but for a yi it's probably below what other yi players get (like let's say top 10% or something, idk)
CS, Wards, Number of objectives you contributed in (tower kills, baron kills, dragon kills, inhibs, the 50 gold nexus, etc), kda, and the game length all factor in.
It also adverages your performance vs. other players with that champion, in that role, around your mmr. Say you have 100 CS but a lot of yis at your rank clear 200 CS, that would make you underperforming.
With supports, the number of wards you placed and objectives you assisted in, as well as kda (more assist+kills than deaths usually) as well as wards cleared via pinks or sweeping lens count as well.
The ranking is graded off of almost EVERY thing. Warding, CS, KDA, Objectives, time and anything like that. Trust me i under stand your KDA and not getting an S rank(25/1 on Lucian and A+), but you need to farm, ward and stuff like that, kills are nice to have your not going to get an S by going 0/7 but still, CSing and a LARGE part. And supporting makes it so that your Assists count as kills(i think)
