Ok I finally have to rant

Yeap. I never rant on forums about games but this is my first. And its gotten to the point where i dont want to play the game anymore

Before you call me a rager, or stupid, or a noob I will just say, that I am can in fact rage, and can be stupid and be a noob. But this is not a rage thread

say I am raging, but in the time it has taken me to write all of this, Im not even the slightest bit mad. Just disappointed. In reality I just don't want to play a game that isn't fun for everyone

I say this because of champions like kat. Yes, this is probably yet another katarina thread out of thousands that have been posted already. So maybe this one will make a difference. Maybe not. Im not one to check the forums anyway unless there are technical issues i need to resolve.

Im sure many of you are already thinking of your logical arguments to say how I am wrong and that i should know something different.

when I say the game should be fun for everyone. Im saying that it shouldn't be an auto-loss when the other team picks a katarina and you have no form of CC that you can easily land on her.

Most of you will probably respond like this... "Really dude? just CC kat shes useless" - well ok now there's a good argument. but lets look at how riot wants things to be in this game. Currently, they are devoting their time thinking about balancing a jungle item that is currently being used by midlaners like Ezreal. Man, they want things to be well balanced for all right?

Ok well lets look at about 80-85% of the player base, which comprises of everyone that is below platinum. Im willing to bet that balancing a jungle item so that Ezreal doesn't hit as hard with his Q, will balance the game alot more than a champ that can chain delete an entire team even without their ult.

Most people dont want to have to have the reaction time to have to CC kat every time she jumps in to a teamfight.

But ok. Here I am. Im alistar waiting for the kat to jump in so I can q e w so that i can knock her up. My tanks engage. good engage by my Shyvana and Warwick, they catch out the other teams draven. here comes kat though. Q E W pops zhonyas. ok well alistar's adc is dead and now kat can just shunpo into the middle of the front-line ult out of her zhonyas. kat penta.

Now is there going to be a drastic change in balance if you change the jungle item so that ez mid cant use it? not really. not enough for people to quit the game over

but are people quitting the game because you have a champ that can delete a team fairly quickly with no counterplay if your comp isn't well prepared for it?

there are no other "assassins" in this game that come close to kat. all of them generally do their job well sure, they assassinate a carry and they get out of the fight in one piece hopefully. great. seems ok.

what makes them equal to kat?.........

Since kat has no form of CC then it is ok for her to be able to do what she does.

makes sense. one of the best mobility kits in the game. instantly deletes carries with very little reprocussions. can chain delete the team afterward. But she has no CC. shes balanced then right?

its almost like, with the tank meta, there really is no need to have ADCs anymore. that is unless your team has some great peels. I am aware that the pros and high ELO players do well with peeling for their carries and just teamfighting well in general. But as I said before. Playing a game with a team that either doesnt have the capability to peel a kat by skill, or in most cases at all, isnt fun.

I have been playing for almost three years and I have seen too many games run by katarinas And completely and truthfully, the kat has probably been on my team most times. One of my friends that I play with plays kat every so often. Of course he ends up carrying.

I think, like alot of players, I get tired of playing champions that are just faceroll easy. Myself, I actually enjoy some of the more technical ones that have a high reward for being able to use their mechanics well. Kat is not one of those champions.

I understand that the game is very hard to balance when you are taking around 130 champions with unique abilities and trying to match them up in a way that makes them each viable. And I also understand how you dont want to rework a champion that alot of people like to play. "Kat Mains" would be sorely disappointed if you were to rework their champion. Well I can garuntee there are alot more disapointed people with the current state of katarina, and also how she has been for the last 2 years at least

Kat has to be one of my least played champions because I literally know for a fact that I can do well with her in almost every game. I cant garuntee a win, but regardless, the other teams carry is going to be pretty useless for the most part. ll be a good, mobile teamfighter that does alot of damage. (like Diana, or Zed, or Ahri) but she just does too much damage too quickly. It isn't a fun game mechanic when you have a champ that just hops around destroying everything, when people at lower ELOs usually have no control over the situation at all.

I dont want to play a game that is balanced only for the Pro players but isnt fun for the less skilled players who want to play champions other than kat.

I will say that kat isn't the only champion who is like this. but she is the most well known for being this way. and it really is disappointing when a game with such a good theme and design is just ruined for the majority of people that play it.

I honestly do like the play style. But it is just too faceroll with the current numbers. And i dont want to que up for more games with katarina in her current state. whether she is on my team, or the other team.

This isnt the first time I have thought about taking a break from the game, but I think I am seriously going to do it this time.

give me some responses though. give me your true, well explained, logical opinion on why kat is ok in her current state

Also, Im tired, and I dont want to reread what i just typed, but I will also point out that Kat is not the only champion that is, in my opinion like this. But i think she is the most obvious target for a thread like this so I figured I would just focus on her.
