I have been playing League of Legends for many years and have been playing ranked since season 3. I have had no problem in the past with getting my primary role in ranked. After the dynamic queue was released I barely get my primary role any more when I play as alone. Now I don't know if this is happening to other people but I believe you should be able to queue up as just one role, but have a longer queue time.

cuddlykitten41 votesAlso, there was never a way to guarantee your role in ranked. This is the first season where you don't have to argue with a bunch of people about which role you will be. Also, ever try just asking to trade roles? I've never had anyone have a problem with trading me, even if I'm trying to play something more popular.
