Why do people smurf? (Lvl 10)

So Ive played league of almost 2 weeks and love it, but recently my matches have been quite terrible. Some my own fault, still learning the mechanics of the game, or just learning a champion in general. However, some games, like my most recent, have been against smurfs. I didnt know or learn what a smurf was until i actually looked it up, mainly because ive had a rise of them in my games. How do i know they are smurfs? The brag about it and are quite frankly, too good mechanically for any lvl 9 to be. I had a game with against a lvl 4 and he dominated it because of our lack of skills. SO i asked a few of em while they smurf and didnt get a really good answer. Got a hella of alot of " We've been banned several times and just make new accounts"

So in youre honest opinions why would anyone honestly smurf? It may be fun for you higher ups, but to us newbies, it makes the game terrible.

Posted this in gameplay because it does affect lower lvl gameplay. Would you learn better playing with others nearly the same skill as you, or being insta killed by a fed bug?

Good smurfs:

He lost password or his main got hacked so he opened new one His friend started playing so he don't wanna play on level 30 account to give friend hard enemies with runes and masteries Opened acc on another region (example from EUW to EUNE)

Bad smurfs:

abusing unranked to diamond stream and stomping bad players

i know a lot of smurf myself and there are many reasons why they "smurfs" do what they do.

one of our friends is new and we want to play with them without him getting smashed.
we want to regrind ranked out again for run.
we get bored i mean lets face it having to try hard vs someone your skill level is no fun but you can do troll stuff in lower level and you can not just get stomped doing it.
sometimes yes it is for the sole reason of stomping others who have less skill.
and last but not least to relevel

90% low level players are smurfs btw
