Riot Focusing on punishing Toxic players and Yeah its fine but at least we can mute Toxic Players what about Trolls People who ruin your game because you didnt gank the lane when they asked ? People who decide to Run mid Because you want to play a Vayne Top.

i know Toxic players should be punished, but not with perma ban just give back the 100 games chat chat restriction and 35 games Normal games instead of Ranked punishment. this system was much better since Riot cant do much against troll players there is no reason to Ban players for Negetive Attitude or for saying Stuff like "Gank my Lane FFS its been 20min you didnt gank top once" or "Support you should use your freaking Wards you have the lowest Vision score on our team as a Support "

i know the system will give you the 14 days ban for this words if you already got your 2 chat bans but i dont think you should perma ban "Angry players" for trashtalkin the team for having bad macro, bad comp, asking in annoying way the jungler to gank his lane.

but yeah "Toxic" players who spam KYS,I F%ck your Mother,Racist stuff thats something else, and this people should be banned.

with the current system that dosent matter what kind of Toxic player you are, if you are a Racist guy who wish death to random people you can get the same punishment as the Guy who just asking for a Ganks in an annoying way.

And no im not Banned or something

They tried excessively long chat restrictions. They didn’t work. Players would resort to still being toxic. When they couldn’t work this out in chat, it became gameplay toxicity.

If players don’t respond to 25 game chat restrictions, that’s enough proof to show that they’re not adjusting their behavior in response to chat restrictions. So why try more of the same?

issue is for those really toxic players who are getting permabans , the permaban dont matter either, they just buy or start a new account and continue with toxic ways

Chat restriction def don't work. When I'm restricted, I just save my chat for flaming my teammates, but banning people doesn't work either. League is a haven for toxicity, there's nothing than can do to make it go away for good.

Sure, permabans aren’t going to stop toxicity. Ultimately, there’s not much that will stop it 100% of the time.

At the very least, it rewards players who aren’t willing to participate in toxicity.

Umm lol chat restriction is of more annoying then getting perma banned.

"It became gameplay toxic" - How about you fucking ban them then?

Bro everyone in the game is toxic. I find riot to be quite the hypocrites because its okay to spam emojis nonstop which is toxic but God forbid you say anything to anyone lol

i think riot perm bans people cuz they know that they stand a better chance to get more money from someone making a new account than they do making that person quit forever

The ban system, in my opinion, doesn't really work to begin with. If anything it gives players a chance to start all over again. The only times people really quit after getting banned is when their account had like a 100 skins on it, and even then most people will just create another again. Like, when I was banned, I created a new account that allowed me to restart and when I finally got it to 30 and did my ranked games, I was able to make it to Gold. If anything, for people perma stuck in bronze and silver, getting banned is really a blessing in disguise and a chance to get higher than you did before. I'm already on account #5.

In a way, I think completely punishing people for any kind of negative wording, but still allowing people to troll games will only increase people trolling.

If they can't say anything, they'll stoop to lower measures and ruin the game completely by inting, not working with team (afk farming), or just about anything that will ruin the experience of the game.

As the op said, you can mute a toxic player, you cant "mute" somebody trolling/ griefing on your team. You just accept the loss. Personally, I wouldn't mind if somebody blew a gasket a few times but eventually got back into the game than them full on feeding kills to the enemy and punishing the team where it really hurts.

Obviously, racism and hate speech should never be tolerated, but in a game where people can become very competitive, and riot promotes it as a competitive game, some people will lash out like "Gank my lane" or "Stop feeding the [blank] baddies". Yeah, it can get a little tense, but that's true for any real sport or competition. People want their cake and eat it too. They want competition but don't want the competitive atmosphere. They go on high or drunk or with a sense of nonchalance that, is very fair in non-ranked games but not at all considerate in ranked play.

For riot to sit back, promote their game as a highly competitive esport, and then punish people for showing any kind of competitive bite is highly unfair to the ranked playerbase. Though, just like any sport, you should, of course, be punished for excessive toxicity.

Think about it, imagine you practiced and played the best you could game after game, and then you got matched with teams who didn't care, game after game. People who just trolled and fed carelessly, taking zero consideration of their teammates who are actually trying. The kicker is if you say anything to those people you are then punished.

Riot not only creates a lot of these trolls, but they protect them as well.

Obviously, im not saying this is completely intentional and im sure Riot beliefs what they are doing is for the better but I don't think they actually know close-up how this all happens. I have a feeling that if a Rioter was playing with somebody trolling and it cost them an important game, that troll would suffer consequences. It's just us common folk who have to deal with it.

Hate speech doesn't exist.

no its cuz people have played the game for years, its constantly changing and for the last 3 years not for the better, people are unhappy with the game but they are addicted and cant quit playing which further feeds their unhappiness

I've had 8 chat bans and that's not why I'm taking a break.

This horrible "everything is made of glass" game climate is why I'm taking some time off...

I had this exact conversation with two of riot's employees the other day.

I had a master yi tell everyone to go fuck themselves and that he wouldn't play with the team. We asked him to play with repeatedly. Eventually I said, "this guy is worthless there's no point." Got a 10 game chat ban.

I talked to riot and they said even if somebody is trolling in your game you must always maintain an positive attitude. The reform card had no other games on it. They upheld the chat ban. I just said "LOL" and left the zendesk conversation.

That guy was reported by 9 players and he revenge reported all of us.
