I am a new player in league it is my first account did my first 10 placements lost 9 win 1 . The one i won i get carried in. Does anyone know how i got placed Silver 5. My friend said im a Bronze player which i dont care because i am new to the game.
I went to Silver 2 by 4 wins and 6 lose. it depends on how you win and the rank of each win. my 4 wins was 
1 S-, 2 S and 1 S+.
Your farm, Your vision, Your kills, Your assist, Your playstyle etc etc all affect the the climbing system. I think it is better you win with 4 S and 6 lose instead 6 wins with C or B and 4 lose.
Note that im not so sure. but that is how i saw it.
Most new players (given that you're new to LoL and other MOBAs) will end up in bronze 5 if they start and keep playing ranked right after leveling to 30.
The reason you have been placed in silver is probably due to you playing with your friend, games with your friend with most likely have higher mmr enemies, and therefore you will lose less mmr on losses and gain more mmr on wins.
If you partied with other people during your prelims, you're automatically at a disadvantage. The current system doesn't reward or punish personal actions in the game, so if one person in your premade does bad, you fall in rank really hard
That's pretty good if you did so bad in placements
