-Win promos in Gold 4 -Make it into Gold 3 -Win 50 LP -Lose them in a losing streak -Lose a game at 0 Lp and get demoted
Seems fair enough to have best of 3 promos in between divisions (not leagues like silver-gold) and to not have demotion/relegation series to protect us from getting demoted after losing 1 or 2 games at 0 lp.
Good MMR gets you through more easily. Average MMR it's entirely on you to maintain. Low MMR and you probably don't belong there yet. Plus we get free demotion shielding. Basically, it's not unfair, you just aren't shown why it isn't.
They are looking to remove promotions and change the system for next season anyway, so don't get too wound up about thinking they won't do anything.
