Alright first and foremost I never complain about the rank system. HOWEVER, I'm a little confused.
Last Season I finished Silver 5 ( I know, not great) but I spent a long time getting out of the Bronze hell hole. Fast forward to today. I played my 10 pre-qualf games and I won 9/10 and I was place at Bronze 3. HOW THE HELL DOES THIS MAKE SENSE?!
Contemplating leaving the game now, so any info explaining this might help.

in other news just made b1 finally waiting for the blind siding 2 week like last season when i hit b2 cuase brozne is as the op said a hell hole and flat out needs the report system turned flat out off kind of hell hole

ParinoidPanda1 votesI feel some of your pain. I spent the all of last year rising through Silver into Gold, now i'm back at Silver 5. I enjoy the game, so It's fine for me. I enjoy a challenge. Stop worrying about the rank, and just have fun. Learn to squash people in lane, and work with people in mid-late game.
dunder kill1 votesIts Riot flushing the 5 divisions. The 5 divisions became saturated with people who lucked out in there provisionals and got placed higher than they should have. Also, people who would just troll games and sit on there 0 lp because its extremely difficult to get demoted down an entire division. Riot needed to flush these people this season because all the 5s were unbearably terrible. So everyone is placing about a whole tier lower and Riot is making people climb back up. That way only the people who deserve to be in silver, gold, or plat will make it back there

NoMonku1 votesFrom what I understand RIOT changed the ranked system this year. They took into account your last seasons mmr as well as your placement matchs. From what I understand, this was to help people not rise/drop incredibly high/low like before because winning your earlier games in your placement matchs has a much higher impact then winning in the later ones.
The main reason why people were upset this season is because a lot of people would get into a specific tier then would start messing around. Maybe not as far as trolling, but they stopped trying to win and stopped caring if they lost, since they knew it was incredibly hard to drop tiers. Since they lost so many games, even though they were say Plat, with all their losses they'd have bronze tier MMR, so when they ranked in this season they got placed in bronze. Now for them to get back where they belong, they will have to work their way back up and hopefully not repeat this behavior again. Also when there was immunity from dropping tiers, I'd run into Diamond 5's during my silver promo matchs.
