Riot Hate Hype Train

So recently there have been a lot of posts complaining about the things riot has done/left undone. For example, the lack of communication between rioters and people posting on the board. These complaints certainly have merit, but at the same time, all the complaining isn't achieving anything, and instead, is hurting the community even more.

My point here is beautifully illustrated by the negative feedback stemming from the new hud. I'm not necessarily saying the new hud is even remotely good, as many people would also agree with. But my issue with the storm of HUD hate posts on the boards is that they are being posted after the HUD has been realeased. Players are quitting and people are blaming riot for this huge failure, even though riot told us ahead of time what the new HUD would look like.

Remember the post from several months ago showing the new head? Remember the several posts after that showing every nook and cranny of the new HUD? Yeah, I do because all you had to do was look on the front page and you could see what the new HUD was like. Even if you didn't want to do that, you could still look at some PBE gameplay of it. But still, no one raised a finger about the new HUD before it was realesed, and only now are people voicing their displeasure. How the hell is riot supposed to listen to the community if they aren't saying anything until after something has been realesed?

Now I'm sure some people people voiced their displeasure about the HUD before, but not nearly enough to warrant the many posts now being posted on the boards. So anyway, before I get 300 down vote because this point isn't complaining about Riot, eat your Doritos and contemplate the fact that there is things we can do as a community other than just complain after the fact.

Also lol is ftp

lol is ftp

but whether that game is worth playing is in our hands to be honest

riot as the makers of this game works to fit our tastes and make us enjoy the game because we are a source of profit

if we are enjoying whatever they push out and we dont complain ... why to improve if everything works just fine and nobody complains

riot gave us the game for free ... but that doesnt mean that we are simply recieving some free gift from riot ... in fact we live in some type of symbiosis ... riot satisfies us with a good game ... and we spend money cause we get atached to a good game

so you cant just say that lol is ftp and that we players are the ones who recieve a charity from riot so we should be happy with whatever we get ... because this works both ways ... we both gain so we are in fact equal ... the diference is interests ... we want better game ... riot wants money one satisfies another and its k

i personaly im satisfied with new hud ... the fonts are too small indeed ... so its hard to read but the current hud seems to provide more information once you get used to it ... also said information is easier to acces since you have it in one part of your screen

so yeah ... there are things to improve and players should hate riot to make them do it ... but im kinda satisfied with the outcome

I have to agree, it has been on the pbe for weeks now, and there are plenty of popular youtube streamers that have shown the new hud and stated that it is fine, the new hud was embraced. Now coming out and hating it is a redundant proclamation as there was PLENTY of time and talk about it in patch notes. I feel that people are just too used to the old hud, I am an offender of that as the team score is now over the map which I am not used to.

However, the Hud is in fact much cleaner, and besides the condensed manner that it is, shows everything you need to know. Some say the green numbers on stats ARE ESSENTIAL, but not really imo with lolking and such to actually look up there stats and runes.

I say give it a week or two, people just hate change, like when any champion is nerfed, they cry that they were gutted. people don't like change (most anyways). Some people didn't like the SR update because it was so drastic a change, or that it looked dead, and not an actual believable world, and look how things are now.
