Why would a DC count as a loss after 35 mins?(ISP Outage)

I am a casual player that does not play ranked as much as the next person. However I finally decided to try and finish my placements last night. I won my second placement game and then played my third. We were heavily ahead and my internet went out. We had cracked their base and we were about to go win. My ISP had maint for 6 hours. We obv won as the other team FFd finally as my team apparently pushed in without me.

My question is why does this count as a loss in my placements.. I should be 3 games 3 wins. But instead I'm 3 games 2 wins 1 loss. This is not fair. I played 95% of my game only to be screwed by my ISP. We won the game. This should not be counted as a loss.

I can see if I left 5 minutes in after I died or something, but this is obviously a case where I had no control over leaving. Why would I leave a game willingly, when there was zero communication issues with the team, no negativity, and with a freaking ~13k gold lead!!!

Any way this can be counted as a win. I know these things are important when being placed in divisions and I would hate for this one game to count against me in a negative manner. I mean I would not want to be placed in B5 when I could be B4 haha

Thanks all! Summoner Name: Exo Five

Because when you leave a ranked game it is considered a loss. It stinks but that is just how it works.
