If KDA is the only stat you're posting, then that's probably the reason why you didn't get an S.

Because Lucian had 117cs and you only had 37cs.

Damn, that's a massive difference.

I think CS is still a relatively large factor in grading even in hexakill, which I don't really agree with given the nature of the game mode, but it is what it is. I didn't get an s- on cass until I went 19/3/19 with 43 cs in 20 minutes

43 cs in 20 minutes???

I think you missed the part where it's hexakill.

CS, wards, and objectives participation (and I assume Kill participation ratio (Kills you're a part of vs Kills you weren't a part of), but there's no evidence pointing to it) are also pretty big factors. I've gotten an S on Yasuo with a 3/0/17 KDA and somewhere around 300 CS.

CS is a huge factor in grading. This is an incredibly important factor to your prestations in 5v5 Summoner's rift. However, in other gamemodes like hexakill and aram where there are more players per lane, I think this stat is way less important because you will get lower gradings for giving farm to your teammates. If you're laning with a kogmaw, you want to give the kog as muhc farm as possible. Unless you want an S grade, because to get this, you must play selfishly and solo carry.

Grading is flawed in all modes that are not SR because there is no traditional laning phase.

Grading is set depending on KDA, CS, Wards and other factors, including character and role and even lane. For example, a jungle Ashe would be able to get a S easier than a Ashe adc. Grading is set up from other people who play that character in that role. So, unless people who play Ashe in areas and roles that she isnt usually in are gods, it should be fairly easy to get a good grade for that character.

OP should have mentioned that this is about hexakill.

The fact that my main support is Janna and after 20 games of not getting S- (even when I was 0/0/23, I'd just be giving my adc S+ at this point while getting A+), I decided to go Janna mid to get a better chance at S games and after 2 games I was rank 6. 2 Games I received S and S- even when I was 0/2/0 during laning phase. The fact how easily this can be abused indicates a serious flaw in the system.

It's much harder to get that score with Lucian than it is with Ashe. The grades are based on the AVERAGE score a player gets with that champ. If you get that score with Urgot, you will get an S+.
