No Lunar Guardian Nasus border after purchasing it?! Only got icon, you need to have the skin??

I just purchased the Lunar Guardian Nasus border +Icon with my tokens and i only received the icon, looking online a website said you must have the SKIN so it shows up! Are you serious!? why dont you include this information on the website , i could've gotten other stuff than just wasting 64 token out of the 96 on just an ugly icon.

Can you get a refund? this is insanely unfair for the people wanting the border and cant afford $20 on a skin or is it just a broken bug that the borders are not working properly I would really appreciate an official answer

The context of this implies that it grants a border for one of the three Lunar Revel skins. I do agree it could be clearer, but I think it's pretty clear already. So yes, the skin is required.

I'd put in a ticket to Player Support though. They may be able to assist you.

The borders have literally always been like this, they only appear for the corresponding skin. The PROJECT borders did that, the Star Guardian borders did that, why would these be any different?

Honestly this fault is on you, and not Riot.

I have a same problem here i spend my tokens for notinhg how i can know that i need skin come on guys.... if i know that i take somthing else for sure... now i complete all missions for notinh g... for stupid icon... -.- that kind of info must write in game its so unfair......

There was an information it already said 64 token for icon and boarder , the skin was never mentioned

Agreed, but I googled this thread first (yep the easiest source of information on it is this thread thanks Riot). Anyways I don't want Lunar WW border because the background skin itself is super ugly, they gave Warwick tusks instead of fangs, what is he a wild boar? As he's the only one I play I'll pass.

Thanks for the heads up OP. This is typical business tactics and very blatantly intentional. The best we can do is not buy ANY of the skins in protest of business tactics that treat us like idiots and try to force us into a predicament where we'll want to reluctantly purchase skins.

As long as they see it working they'll continue doing it, best we can do is try show it doesn't work. Sadly, it will.

Whats the point in creating posts like this? None of riot is going to do much about it, and as far as i'm concerned they don't care. Don't waste your time on buying stuff from events like this. They just make it hard to get what you want. No comments from any riot members yet? Unbelievable...

i just want to know.

do i have to pick up the skin for the golden chroma first, or can i unlock the skin at a later date and then automatically get the chroma with it?

i dont want to spend that golden token and realize too late that i only get the icon for it, even if i bought the skin at a later date.

Riot is a sneaky bunch. Don't buy the skin if they don't refund you. I'd recommend not buying any skins that aren't on sale for the cheap, but that's just me.

Yes

Refunds are max 3 total. And can't be used on bundles. Which is why the throw in a couple of revel tokens on most things event related.

And I believe it's mentioned that you need the skin.
