Should there be a Minimum Mastery requirement for Ranked Play

I think there should be a Minimum Mastery Level requirement for champions chosen during a Ranked game, even if it's only Mastery Level 2, especially now that LoL allows you to view everyone's Mastery score during the game loading screen by clicking on the top of each champion's loading banner, which on it's own is a BAD idea because it allows the opposing players to know who to target before the game even begins based on master score.

Ranked should NOT be for learning how to play a champion. That's what "Normal" games are for.

Just played a 3v3, and 2 of the 6 players had 0 (zero) mastery points on the characters they choose. The previous game, someone on my team had 0 points on Xerath, took a solid beating, and quit about 5 minutes into game. So much for that LP.

Whether Solo/Duo, Flex, or 3v3, "Ranked" play should mean something compared to "Normal" games, especially considering that your choices (good or bad) affect not only your rank, but also that of your teammates.

Sadly, despite the fact that LoL is designed around the concept of team play, this can be a very toxic community. I too often see people say in chat "It's only Flex" or "It's only 3v3". If those modes don't matter to YOU, then why play them? Just play normal mode instead. Unless you're just a self-centered ...... that cares about no one else but yourself?

I'm not the best player in the world, far from it, but at least I play to win and try my best when I play ranked because that's what competitive (ranked) play is supposed to be about. When I want to try a new champion, or a new build, I play "normal", or even create a custom AI game.

Oh well, I'm sure I'll be flamed for posting this, but it still needs to be said.

Master ranks should be deleted since this is an annoying post I have seen countless times that always end with a no.

No you should not need to have said champ to master 3+ to play them in ranked.

I have m6 on Bard and I haven't played him in a year. I'm pretty sure I would play first time morgana better

In the grand scheme of things mastery points don't really mean anything but a measure of how much you like to play a champion.

Having 1m+ mastery points on a champion won't stop you from getting shit on in any given game. Everyone has bad games with every champ independent of their mastery rank/score. I don't know why people think having a high amount of mastery points will suddenly make you never have a bad game. The two aren't related.
