Bard needs a buff?

All though i greatly enojy bard as a champion and i think that his mechanic are awesome hes not really viable in ranked or really any game mode that matters. You see he has a stun and a heal and a zhonyahs aswell as his portal, Like i said his utility is fucking amazing however HE is weak and does zero damage. Now you may be saying "Well yea no shit hes got no damage" and i say yea it would be fine if he had no damage if he were tanky but he isnt. It feels as if riot isnt sure what he should be, The meta would imply tanky AP but he just doesnt seem to tank up very easily almosy like thresh. Thresh has all of his cc but takes like 20 minutes or a really good laning phase to get truly tanky and even then he isnt as strong as champions like alistar or braum, And with thresh its ok because of his damage and his long range, Plus he has enough cc to hold a champion under tower at level 3 and destroy them if done correctly. but bard doesnt have that, Bard gets a shrine but it takes time to charge he has cc but only one ability and only if they are near a wall or other champion, his magical journey is cool and i have no qualms with it and although his ultimate isnt bad i (under personal prefrence) dont like it very much. And these supporting aspects are good but bard as a champion is useless on his own(unless you build ad) and you hsouldnt have to do a troll lane and build to make a champion viable i know its early i just really hope they atleast make him tanky at start im finw with not doing damage as a support but he needs the tanky aspects to make him viable.
