Banning hovered champs in banning phase

Your allies should not be able to ban the champion you have hovered. this has happened before but didnt really see it that much so i didnt care. but now it is happening a lot, and the people who are doing it say the do it for 1 of 2 reasons and both are considered griefing. 1. is they say the champ is bad so they ban it so you cant play it, or 2. you are last pick and they dont want the enemy team to pick it first. I think riot should really just not allow someone to ban the champion you have hovered, that way it stops people from purposely griefing their teammates before the game even starts.

i RARELY ban hovered champions.

but if there is a 100% pick ban champ like Volibear was 2 patches ago. if your last pick and no one is going to swap with you.. he is getting banned.. sorry.

same thing with Zoe on release, i dont care if your even 3rd pick, unless your hovering her first pick and our side chooses first.. she was getting banned. end of story.

also if u hover something absurdly stupid like MasterYi support.. i'll ban him as well (assuming there isn't more pressing bans)

Finally someone who gets how it works... yep i completely agree with this this is how champion select basically is and should be... or if you look at stats and see if someone has a horrible winrate as a champion.. thats also another reason to ban that champion if they want to play it

i don't look at people stats in champ select ... i look at them in loading screen

yeah alot of people normally have that i normally just look through on my cellphone just to get a quick overview since i cant look at them during loading

that being said if i hover "nidalee" my main. is rally DOES piss me off when people say "nid is trash right now" so they ban her. my name is SWIFTKITTEN this refers to NIDALLE my clan tag is NIDL3 if you can't put two and two together. you kinda deserve that loss. (sorry to my other 3 teammates)

granted that has only happened once in 5 years... but.. still

yeah i agree its less common that someone bans a champion just because the champion is under preforming.. it still happens but i see it happening less now a days... also people just have more bans now a days compared to past where there was only a total of 6 bans instead of 10 .. it is kinda upsetting but people just dont want to realize the grounds on which why their champion is being banned due to them being oblivious on how things work .. which is kinda Sad and makes me Pity them

yeah we also lost the game becuase my only other jungler was banned so i had to pick somone i havent played in 2 years ( RekSai ). and i ended up feeding.

funyn part was they were like phh u have lvl 6 mastery on her.. and im like: yeah i do.. but that was before she was gutted, reworked and had all the fun stripped from her kit.

yeah thats the same with me and eve... tho im still trying to relearn her... kits not very hard but the playstyle is different.... fight back off then fight again. kinda miss old eve Q.. unlike the new Q that has like an 8 second cd past the 3 charges

the boxes are a pain to deal with and are great at stopping tower dives, spotting ganks and keeping enemyies form pushing.

its unconventional but it isn't even remotely as bad as yi

Wrong.... if it was like that then in ranked you wouldnt be able to ban newly released champions and people that will end up feeding with them since they dont have any skill with the champion.. Let alone OP champions.. or just champions you dont want on your team.. it may be scumbagy... but its your teamates Ban.... and they can ban who ever they want...... you should have more than one champion you can play.. it also depends on who has first pick... if the enemy has first pick its best to ban X champion instead of letting the enemy have a chance to play it too... Champion select in itself is apart of the game. I feel as if people are not good enough to realize that since a majority of the people get salty because someone bans your champion you want to play... Get over it... it happens to everyone..

The first example you put is one thing. I wouldn't ban a champion because I thought the champion was bad or not the right choice, hell I sometimes play Aatrox which some would argue is the worst champion in the game right now, so I wouldn't ban some ones champion for being bad or not a fit for the team comp.

However, I will still ban for the 2nd reason you mention and that is to make sure the enemy doesn't get that OP pick your last pick was hovering. However, if I'm first pick then I'll offer them to pick it for them and switch though and honestly that is only if the OP pick is also a popular one. If it's a sleeper OP pick that is very strong (but not really played often) then I'll have no problem risking it to let them pick it. But if its a popular pick where I know it'll be picked before my last pick gets to it, I'd rather not risk the enemy picking it and stomping on us.

i agree with that and if that is what people did i would be ok with it, but most of the time its people banning the champ because they think its bad and dont want you playing it.

But the first situation is always worse, even in ranked i would rather have someone feed with someone they are not good with then have someone ban the hovered champ and then that person intentionally trolls and/or feeds even more. And besides who are you to decide whether or not someone is good with that champ if you have never played with them?

and this is where skill level becomes different.. Id rather not have someone feed in my game let alone a majority of people who are above silver Not many people would troll below gold just because their pick would get banned... sometimes it happens once in a blue moon.. but for the most part alot of the people ive seen would be like oh ok.. ill just play a different champion instead ...... and not everyone is going to be good at new champion or X champion... if released.. on the other note as it also comes down to first pick.. in ranked or draft.. theres many things about champion select no offence to you and i dont mean by anything to this im just trying to say it the best i can alot of Casual players.. or people who are not above average in game knowledge wont understand the meaning of how champion select is played
