Does Ivern passive intentionally not work in Nexus Blitz game mode?

I thought that with the harder jungle camps, Ivern, a wildly neglected jungler in most game modes, would be a fun and interesting choice to spice up the double jungle. Turns out that his passive is completely irreverent and doesn't actually proc on any of the jungle camps in the game.

I don't have to tell any of you that Ivern really struggles to kill much of anything, especially buffed creeps, making him easily one of the worst characters in this game mode.

I admit Ivern passive would be really strong, but I'm not sure that's a bad thing. He currently has a 0.5% pick rate and a mode like this could really give him his niche in the game. Removing his passive from this game mode just makes him even more irrelevant IMO, and I would love to see it changed.

Any other input would be greatly appreciated. I'm clearly a fan of Ivern and would like to see him be strong!

probably just an oversight seeing as riot hasn't touched him for the better part of a year. I wish ivern was still viable.

I think it is intentional. I seem to recall seeing a Rioter mention that, due to them wanting the jungle to be more difficult and basically require two junglers working together. Ivern could jungle on his own, essentially. I do agree that it sucks. I was excited to try him in this mode, but without his passive I don't really know what he would bring to a mode like this. At least give him SOMETHING in compensation, a lot of his power balance is in that passive.

I guess you could just lane with him, but what makes him any better than other Enchanter supports? The bush positioning is alright for him, but most bushes are tiny and beyond that, I feel Lulu and maybe even Janna or Nami would do anything he could do, but better.
