Graves combo not working in patch 7.14?

Hi! I recently started playing graves again since his rework now that lethality has become strong again. I have an issue with him however. The notorious aa > Q > R > E combo (As demonstrated in the linked video) doesn't work properly for me and i don't know why. My issue is that the ultimate still pushes me back no matter how fast or well i try and time it. I spent nearly an hour in practice mode and eventually gave up. Doing hard combos is fun and I can do some of the hardest ones like gragas full damage cheese combo and rivens QQ-wait-E-FLASH-W-AA-HYDRA-R-Q-Q-AA-Q-AAQ- (I think thats what it is?). But i cant pull off graves forward dashing ulti.

Did they change his animation too make it not possible anymore? Or am i just boosted? I live in South Africa so i have 155 ping at best.
