I want to say something about Rengar's Mini-Update in future. [Meddler, this post is for you]

**Hello Meddler, and Rengar community.I have question about updating Rengar. ** **So meddler, you said the Rengar is one of the options to get mini-update, but I think the Rengar rework is REALLY needed. ** **Why? So, let me explain but first take a look to his abilities (new and old). ** ­

­ ­ Old Q - _This ability makes Rengar as True Assassin, and you can build 100 variants .. Full Critical Build, Full Build Lifesteal, ON HIT-build, full speed attack build .. And its so funny to play with this. _

­ New Q - When you use it.. looks like Rengar is swimming ... So .. AoE on Assassin? Lol? And you can go only Bruiser and Lethality Build ... It's so clunky...

­ Old W - With this ability Rengar upgrade his armor for a few seconds, and its good for jungling, you can be hitted by Red Brambleback 3-4 times and damage is reduced.

­ New W - Rengar only regain 50% of the damage he got within 1.5s So .. Red hit you one time, and you regain HP, 20s Cooldown .. And this is it ... And empovered ability gave you free CC QSS? (Okay.. So skill champion, does not have to buy QSS,Critical chance.. What is next..?)

­ E - Bola Strike - This new one is okay, better than it has ever been, so nice work on this. ­

Old R - When you activate this you are invisible for 10+ seconds, and you can leap on enemy.

­ New R - You have 20 seconds to be camouflaged, and all in range of 3000 units is warned to Rengar can leap on them(enemy). So this is okay, more time to react, but ... You really needed to add F#CKING FREE CRIT ON THIS ULT?? All of items you need to insta-shot ADC is Infinity Edge, DuskBlade of Drakhtharr and Youumus Ghostblade, and then, just press Right Click( 1 RMB = 1 KILL, THIS IS OKAY? NO!), and BOOM, insta-shot (1400+ CRIT + Duskblade passive (True damage)

­ Old Ferocity System - _Hit enemy with ability, gain 1 ferocity, ult, gain 5 ferocity.. You are out of combat, ferocity remains and Rengar's potential for gank is better than in Season 7/8 ... _

­ New ferocity System - _Ok? Jump on target, go away from him, Use ability within 6 seconds(Q, W, E) and do not hit anyone and you gain ferocity for nothing? Nice riot ... _ ­ ­

­ Okay. And now I will explain why it is necessary to revert some abilities.

Revert for abilites:

  • Swimming Savagery (Q)
  • Battle Roar (W)
  • Thrill of the ZONE :) (R)

This abilities need to be reversed or reworked cuz this Rengar's new Q makes him a non-assassin champ. Rengar's W makes him a bruiser champ ... Thrill of the Hunt (Zone :)) - Free crit ... Zonning enemy, jump on 5 targets oneshot ADC and than die, worth to be the name thrill of the "HUNT"? No. :) ­

­ THIS NEW ONE RENGAR IS NOT IN A PERFECT STATE, THIS IS AGREED BY "RIOT REPERTOIR"( Developer of new rengar's gameplay.)

Riot ... I do not know what you are waiting for ... All Rengar mains (and probably old players who did not mained him) loved him pre-rework.

You gave him a new one skin, for kids ...

*Rengar in season 7: Transformers? Swimming ability? Toys of his knife / blade (Mecha Rengar skin)? OP Rework, than OP NERFS ..? Meme Recall (RenCAR, Is Rengar bulletproof after this skin? ...)

Rework that made him more OP than before rework .. (Riot (S6) : "We have a problem with rengar's kit and play style") (Riot (S7) : "Rengar is not in perfect state and should be updated)

Thank you RIOT GAMES ­ You're finally realized that something must be done with new Rengar ­­

I feel like Q is gonna be bad unless the leap is tied to it.

Passive is cool and all, but that should be where bonetooth is. If the leap is on the Q instead of in bushes, this means rengar can actually gank mid lane without having to use ult.

The feeling of not being able to gank a lane as an assassin because you dont have R or its on cooldown really fucking sucks. Ganking a lane as rengar with out ult, this is my thought process.

A) Walk up to them like any other jungler with no leap, no element of surprise or burst damage. Just a bland 2v1 and, without hard cc for an opener this usually fails.

or B) Somehow get my own laner to bait them to a bush.

Almost all the time it's A, and that doesnt usually work with all the mobility floating around.

That said, I feel that the leap being bush based is very conditional.

Giving rengar the leap power on his Q, but less damage on his Q, and giving his ult a passive to leap like normal from brush would make him more an assassin based character.

Ferocity should be increased back to 5, but you should get double ferocity on champions. This encourages rengar to gank more, and rewards him for doing so, since having a leap on Q and having almost two empowered procs means you can jump on them, snare them with the bola and still be able to tear them to pieces.

Reverting ult back to previous state but giving him a bigger reveal radius (Regular sight range) Means that he isnt telegraphed, but you still have something to react to. A giant cat coming at you in the middle of the lane isnt exactly stealthy. So you shouldnt be able to know hes coming, but you should be able to see him in that brief moment before he jumps on you.

So all in all:

Tying the jump to his Q, but lowering the damage

Ferocity increased to 5, but double gain on champions

No ult telegraph, but larger reveal radius on the camoflauge

should really help tie in the feeling rengar is going for.

I've been reading posts like this for a whole year with almost nothing really new in this one. Riot already knows what Rengar mains want. It's more about whether or not they want to actually implement that since everyone else hated old Rengar. Also I bet that they are going to work on a Rengar rework next season for sure, just haven't talked about it much for now because of preseason and all that shit. Just hope that they don't fuck him up again. Also don't expect a revert, at least not of the ultimate. Riot's already fixated on putting a marker on every camouflage stealth ability as we could see from Eve having her W basically be like Rengar's mark.

How does the ability to go on hit, attack speed, crit, life steal, etc. make him a true assassin? That seems anything but a true assassin.

I made a very similar thread like this about Talon. I do NOT want him reverted, but I feel as though his old rake and ult were a million times better. Also, literally every Talon players liked his blink. How would I do this to get the best of both worlds? Well in order to get his old ult and rake, you'd have to do something about his passive because it'd be too easy to proc. Just change it to dealing a burst amount of damage procs it like old stormraider's surge. As for the blink, it can be added to his ult. Rengar and ekko have that circle thing around them, talon could get one on his ult that causes him to blink to target. That way, you can keep his Q and his E while still having a blink.
