Possible Sion Rework Idea (Opinion)

Sorry for bad english

Hello, this is my first post on Boards. I'm not sure on the current state on the Sion Rework, but I have been thinking aboout his kit and would love to give my two cents. I love playing sion, and the theme of stacking health on e and being unstoppable with r is a great niche and overall char theme.

Sion feels like he should be a slow, heavy zombie who is tanky, and hard to kill. His autos should hurt, but only if he can approach you. His current state feels clunky, and doesnt synergy well. Below is my opinion on a possible rework route and idea

Firstly, I feel that Sion should not use mana, but health instead. It first better (IMO) of the zombie undead char

Passive

All bonus attack speed from runes, masteries and items is converted into bonus attack damage.

I can't remember where i saw this, but it was an idea in which all bonus attack speed is converted into attack damage. This means that sion would not be able to get more attack speed as the amount that scales naturally with level. It would fit the theme as a giant, slow, heavy hitting zombie. the attack damage should be enough to compensate, but not enough to make stacking attack speed items better than ad items (duh).

Q

**Cost: % of current/max health

  1. Sion attacks with such force that the unit is stunned for X seconds, hurting himself in the process. or

  2. Sion throws his axe, stunning the first champion hit for X seconds, hurting himself in the process**

  3. I feel as though stun is crucial for Sion for work, as he has no other gap closes, and is a relatively slow char anyway. It would also make his relatviely weak early game better, with AA Q AA combo (although im not sure how weak/strong this theoretical kit could be)

  4. This is more like his current stun, and would be easier for sion to catch up. 1. would make it much harder to catch up than 2. especially in current meta of mobility. Notice how i didn't put "he can pick the axe back up to reduce cooldown" or some other unfun mechanic like that (unfun for person being chased)

W (idk)

Instantly deals 666 true damage to all units within 666 range

Really not sure on this one, but i do feel the exploding shield doesnt really mesh with his kit at all, and would not be missed on ad/ bruiser sion

E

Cost: % of current/max health Sion drains his own life force to empower his axe, dealing extra damage. When a unit is killed, Sion gains X health permanently

I feel like this is the core of ad sions kit, and is what makes him so fun to play. This would allow sion to buy more offensive items without being too squishy. However, I don't think the toggle off/on is too great. Maybe make this a one hit like nasus/ veigar, or even a timed empower like kayles e or something

**R Cost: No Cost Should be the same except remove the healing teammates part. What zombie would do that????? ** Again, this is just my opinion of what ad sion should be, all opinions welcome :^)

The kit is interesting: these are my thoughts;

Passive: Needs to be more impactful. As it stands, he has no reason to build attack speed, it would be better to just stack damage and lifesteal. Q: I like the first one. He needs a stun, or some form of CC, but we know riot doesnt want to give him ranged CC. W: Perhaps mobility buff to cover the no range cc? E: I feel like %Max or Current is too much, too crushing for laning phase. As it is now, its the reason he has such a hard early game. Should be a flat amount. R: YES. Good Job.

My thoughts, anyway.

At least the way i enjoy playing current sion, is building a melee carry like tryn and splitting top. This means a high as, which makes him look laughable. This was my thought process and as to why i thoughbt the passive would be good for him. For E, I don't really like the flat amount as I feel mid to late game, the flat amount can just be shrugged off for what is pretty much free ad. A % would make more sense, especially if he is able to stack health infinitely. Early, I feel it would only be turned on to last hit creeps, unlike live sion, who just presses E and never touches the button again. Eventually, he would be able to leave it on indefinitely after getting lifesteal items. The % should only be a small amount though, not something crazy large.

I play split push sion, a standard build something like as follows:

Hydra BotRK Swiftness Spirit Visage Bloodthirster/Soul Reaver (depending) Atma's Impaler

Game play is as follows:

See minions in a lane, double check my e is still on from 5 seconds into the game. Go to lane, farm the crap out of those minions. Go forth unto the lane in search of more minions. Farm them too. Realize a tower blocks my minion search. Let my minions tank it, pop ulty for AS, kill tower before anyone can get there. Continue searching for minions to farm for E stacks.

If at any time a single champion appears, one of two things happens: they are alone: farm them for E stacks. They are not alone: -Can I beat them? --Yes: Farm them for stacks --No: run into jugle and farm it for stacks.

once the encounter is over, go back to the top of the game play chart.
