MMR and LP gain

Hello people! So, I just got this account (smurf) from bronze 5 to silver 4, in my silver 3 promos as we speak, and I've had some unlucky losses etc, etc. Even after a few 2 losses in a row, I had a 57% winrate (it is wrong on my op.gg, as it says I have a 55% winrate but when I calculate the winrate in the window after I win/lose a game it says 68 wins-49 losses) anyways, I'm earining from 27 - 24 LP and losing 12 - 15 LP and I was just curious as to how the LP and ELO system works? Are they linked? are there anyway to determine your MMR correctly as to OP.GG says I have a silver 5 MMR xdd

op.gg and other sites only guess, based on your match history. Riot has never revealed the exact way how the mmr-systeme works and probably they will never do so. What I can tell you though, that long winning streaks/ long loosing streaks lead to more increase/decrease of mmr.
