Ranking system question

A little curious about the ranking system. So this season I have climbed from silver 5, to gold 5, now back to silver 1, and still falling. I am gaining 14 lp per win, and losing 24 per loss. Do you guys think it's worth it to even keep playing ranked at this rate? Even if I keep up a 50% win rate, I will continue to fall.. It seems I will need to keep a 75% win rate to keep my current rank. Also, my overall win rate is over 50%, so i dont understand why the system think I don't belong where I do. Is it based on how I play?

If you go on a massive losing streak the game thinks you deserve a lower ELO than what you're at. Whereas if you're on a massive winning streak you'll see 24 LP per win. It's highly determined by how your streaks look. If you win 1, lose 1 for 10 games, it will be 20 lp win, 20 lp loss. So if you're doing a 75% w/r from then on, you'll see either large gains depending on where your losses are, or very minimal gains.
