So... Malz WAS my one favorite champ but there isnt any point to play him anymore as mid/apc because he dosent do any dmg, not early or late especially when his w got nerfed so badly + his ult does only % dmg from enemys health= nothing. Now its hard even try 1vs1 anyone. He also got so easy countered just build qs and bam Malz is uselss. Sry about bad english but i hope you people still got it.
Better idea. Revert him. Most people who don't want him reverted never really played him all that much, because the rework made him playable by anyone. It actually lowered the number of ways to misplay the champion, while increasing the number of ways to play around him.
Basically the net change in outplay potential was zero. They just shifted it even further from malzahar making mistakes to the enemy playing around him correctly. Which he already had a fair balance of pre-rework. His Q was extremely slow animation, his W and E were pure damage, and his R left him vulnerable to a second enemy.
Now you could play correctly, and still mediate some of those weaknesses, however enemies could capitalize on them just as much.
The aids and crabs kill them.
He's actually being played in scrims by professional teams like SKT as support.
