Doesn't carrying imply that you are doing the most damage? Have the strongest KDA? And highest CS for your team? Can you point to the games you "carried"?
They smoothed out ELO hell so that it's power curve wouldn't seem so overbearing.
now its just who gets the best premade
The problem is that people snowball so hard now that if you get a scrub bronze on your team they will feed and the game is already over, while you are playing like higher elo person who stays safe and wards and out-cs's your opponent while looking for the right moment.
If you took someone from challenger and put them in a bronze match and told them to play passive for the first 15 mins, I gurantee you they would still lose if the enemy was fed. Doesn't matter how much better they are, they can completely outplay them and still get owned due to snowball
