ez q should proc echo

UNIQUE Passive: Gains charges upon moving or casting. At 100 charges, the next spell hit expends all charges to deal 100 (+15% of Ability Power) bonus magic damage to up to 4 targets on hit. This applies spell effects (e.g., Spell Vamp, Rylai's, etc).

ACTIVE: Ezreal fires a bolt of energy in a line that will deal physical damage and apply on-hit effects to the first enemy it hits. If it strikes an enemy unit, all of Ezreal's cooldowns will be reduced by 1 second.

i understand that his q works similar to an auto... but it is still a spell that is cast, so it should proc the echo.... rito plz

It's a spell, so it charges echo. It hits like an AA, so it doesn't proc echo's damage.

If you want it to proc echo's damage, you'll have to give up your spellblade procs.

You don't. Let me break it down for you.

Spells can have one of the 2 features:

  1. On-hit proc
  2. Spell proc

On-hit proc is what you described as "working similar to an auto". Spell proc is stuff like Luden's Echo proc/Spellvamp. You can only have 1 of those in a spell. Never both.

I knew this wasn't going to work when they announced the item, but I really wanted it to, just so that I could build Statikk Shiv and Echo on Ezreal and proc ALL THE STACKS.

But alas, can't. And unfortunately it is completely legit that it does not.

I just realized...This technically works on Poppy's Q (it applies spell effects and on-hits). Why haven't I tried this yet? :o

Just wait until Fizz players realize they can do this.

Abilities that apply on-hit effects do not apply spell effects.

With one notable exception, though it's explicitly mentioned: Fizz
