Why I am Quitting League of Legends

Today is the day I'm officially quit League of Legends. The game is so unbalanced and its impossible to climb anymore. I main Kat and now she is just not a viable pick anymore and now I can see why all the pros are quitting this game now, They just don't have enough time to learn these new meta champions and neither do I. I spent hours trying to learn new champions that are meta but i'm not able to compete with the level I am currently in (Plat 3). So now its just boring playing kat because either she just isnt strong enough for these new meta picks or now she just isnt strong enough to carry anymore, and when I try to play meta champions I just get destroyed. Now I'm stuck on what to play because ive invested so much time in this video game I don't even know what to play now. If anyone else as any other thoughts on this please share, if you can also try to persuade me to start playing league again please leave a comment.

You're better off leaving, mate. No offense, but I'm surprised it took 9 months since Preseason 8 for you to realize that League has turned into complete trash.

Rune's Reforged was implemented to cater toward casual players. With overloaded/overpowered runes, overpowered champions with overloaded kits, and RNG elements, low skilled players can equally compete against higher skilled players by making flashy one shot plays. Riot wanted to dumb down the game by increasing the damage. This has diminished the skill-gap.

The only hope we have is to wait for Preseason 9, or even Mid-Season 9. If Riot actually attempts to fix the issues.

Veigar one Q and R with Predator and you die from a mile away while you have a LeeSin trying to insec a ADC in the backline But with champs like Zoe and Irelia being released with one shots with 2 abilities and infinite dashes I dont see the game ever getting fixed

You kids I've been saying this for years. Riot has may this game for kids as well. The age gap has increase significantly. So yea expect to have a 12yr old on your team that can't do a thing LOL. Your only hope get a 5 premade team of adults than you will start having fun.

Piece of advice OP, you might as well start to learn different champions regardless of who gets buff and gutted to the ground. Assuming you are really (Plat 3 with decent skills.)

I don't understand why we have to "wait" for change. They push drastic pointless shit on us so fast, but then are so slow to fix problems that this brings.

There is no skill to this game anymore. You can miss every skillshot in your kit, and still win the trade because of runes and raw bullcrap damage.

Completely killed the game for me now that "outplay" champs are no longer viable. Kata can't outplay shit like Swain, who can miss his entire kit and still win every trade because " i have aoe damage that heals me".

Riot has turned the game into a "hold my hand" game.

I've been off league for several months and started playing Dead By Daylight as my main game, which I found to be a refreshing change from league. With league it feels like its being pulled in so many directions by so many people with different visions of want they want the game to be, with Riot themselves lacking a firm vision of their own and instead just opting to please as many people as possible while at the same time truly pleasing no one.

I want to quit too, probably will, but for different reasons. The game has become match after match of pure hard stomps. No thought at all towards how to win. Just waiting to see which team feeds and kinda ride the wave of chance. 95% of games are over before 10 minutes and the other 20-30 minutes is just wasting time waiting to lose or win depending on which team you're on.

If you want some real fun make an alt, play blinds and enjoy your mid laner without flash going 0 - 8 and having the enemy be full of plat smurfs

At the moment we are speaking i am waitting for my game to load and no am not waitting in the loading screen i am waitting in a messege saying (dosent respond) i tryed restarting the client restarting my pc but it just wont load if i get a leavebuster i will quit the game i had enough client shit this year and most of em wont get fixed like the bot bug where the top lane bot will stay afk or the bug that i have now its just too muck and with all these ''balance'' changes i dont think i am interested any more.

You don't have to leave if you still enjoy aspects of the game.

You said you are bored of Kat and not good enough with other champs for ranked, but that's just ranked. You can still play normals for a while with other champions for fun until you feel comfortable playing them in ranked (or hell, you don't even have to ever play ranked again if you don't want to).

You just seem like someone who really wants to keep playing because of the last sentence of your comment. Don't let the state of ranked force you to stop playing something you enjoy.

Play champs that genuinely interest you, therefore it will be worth the bumps in the road learning them. Also the more champs you play, the better you will be at Kat as well.

yesss you cant climb because the meta I don't see any kat mains in diamond, master, challenger. All I see in this boards is everyone constantly complaining and criying about losing games. holly fuck... just quit the game already if you are not having fun.

Kat not good enough to climb in an assassin meta as the poster child of mobility and damage creep? I hate to tell you this but if you can't climb with Kat now the "fixes" Riot has coming for you are gonna make this game even worse for you.

Just embrace the changes. Things will always change and be in flux in this game, go with it, learn to adapt and try not to hold on to the past.

Not that I like all the changes either, there are plenty of things I don't like, but I have fun playing the game generally so I stick with it. I try to look forward to the patch updates instead of seeing them as a negative thing. I do agree though, when they make major changes mid season it does feel really bad when you have to re-learn a lot of things and you don't have the time to even absorb all the patch notes. I feel bad for those Aatrox mains that basically got their champ deleted, at least that didn't happen to Kat.

Urgot's rework last season made me want to quit League but then again I want to climb the ranked ladder to diamond since I ended in plat last season. Ranked is what is keeping me playing. Urgot
