Incentives for Mastering a Champion in 2018

I wasn't entirely sure where to put this so i first submitted it as a ticket before Riot Hana suggested I come here to voice my cool idea. Now I'm just hoping this is the right spot for it. ***Mods, feel free to move it appropriately if I'm wrong here.

A little background on me before diving in: I began playing this game early 2012, right when the Ziggs champion spotlight was being released. Warwick was my one and only reason to play the game as I was obsessed with werewolves at the time, but sadly was too late to get the legendary Urfwick skin (until the BE store unlocked the uncrowned version). Since then, I've absolutely come to love everything about this game outside of Warwick, even though he's still my bread and butter. I've recently picked up the wolf again since his rework and I'm teetering on the edge of one tricking him and am approaching 400k mastery points.

With that in mind, and season 8 just kicking off, I thought it would be cool IF a player could achieve "x" amount of mastery points on Warwick thus unlocking the "crowned" version of the Urfwick skin. I for one would be willing to pay for it if it were just unlocked, and thought it would be a really cool incentive for mastering a champ to such a degree.

Perhaps not even limited to Warwick. Being able to unlock something small and cosmetic for mastering any champion to a certain point would be HUGE for the morale of one tricks or dedicated players and provide something to show off besides a mastery 7 emote which anyone could achieve.
