I usually play assassins but I see that it's basically useless to have more then one on your team (its just me tying to do some faker shit and failing every single time). Now I would like to play someone who can engage but in the same time has a good damage. I mostly play jung and sometimes top
So no assasins, but good initiators with Good damage.
My opinion of a good initiator is jump into the fight, have cc, and be able to fight 1 on 1 kind of chanp, so these guys are best.
's pretty much what you want then.
Malphite
Gangplank, ult to engage and wreak havoc.
Would definitely recommend Shyvana.
Her ult is excellent for engaging and her W can act the part to an extent as well.
Her E combined with BoRK basically guarantees she'll have at least decent damage throughout the game regardless of her or her opponent's state with in it.
Only real problem is that if you want CC you have to get items with it such as Randuin's or Frozen Mallet and it can be hard to fit in the latter since it's so expensive.
But yeah, she is mostly Jungle but can top and she fits all the other things you where asking for so I feel she's probably a perfect fit for you.
I'd recommend Hecarim for you. His engage is amazing and impactful, and it also puts him directly in the back line to go for the squishies. He synergizes extremely well is Trinity Force because of his Q, so he gets a lot more use out of it than most.
are all good junglers with great engage and good damage.
Are we talking catch potential, or major team engage?
Personally, I feel like a number of AP champs have good initiation tools and burst damage, to go with their lockup. (namely Kennen at the moment, and Liss is fair too.) Then again, they have lost a fair amount of their power when tanks became popular. (Since tanks don't lose half their health to their engage.
But they are still good, and anyone with Good AoE and lockup. (even tanks) Are going to do a fair amount of damage when you opponents are a little more glass cannon.
I'm a fan of Vi.
Can play like an assassin, so should be comfortable fit.
R is one of the best single target engages in the game, but she isn't the best at starting a full 5v5.
tanky fighters; Olaf, Zac and Aatrox
mage: kogmaw (500 damage per 1.5 seconds at 1800 range ultimate is possible) and near 1k pierce through. Xerath can do nearly the same, but not like kog, but xerath has crowd control
marksman: miss fortune is a beast at damage and gains free move speed, Caitlynn is ranged, corki can cast his Q and R from a safe distance
assassins: I don't play many
malphite...seems a little of everything...I didn't like him but he seems to have high burst
I recommend Zac and kogmaw though. fun to play and late game beasts
