Many more trolls than usual?

So lately I'm starting to realize that I'm encountering A LOT of trolls. Like a troll every other game. Not Skarner ADC trolls, but people that see a stupid mistake and freak out. For example, my last game we had an Annie that seemed to be doing pretty well, (6/4/1, one of the better KDA's at the time) however he kept getting ganked and killed because he never warded and pushed with no vision consistently, however he was usually able to force a 1 for 1 each time. All of a sudden at 6/6/2, he blew up and said, "I'm done with this stupid fucking game I can't do anything, nice MIA Jax and proceeded to rage after that."

I also had a Karthus the game before that who again, was carrying at 10/6/4 but when i made a dumb mistake as Vi and died for it, he flipped out and said, "I'm not gonna waste my time grouping with game-throwers." These are only a few examples of the many trolls I'm encountering, I generally don't say anything to them unless I see an consistent mistake such as Annie's, where I politely said "Hey if you're having troubles with Diana, just try to ward one side of mid and favor that side so you see her coming." It's getting extremely frustrating for me as this usually happens in games that we can easily win, I'm not sure what's causing this many trolls tbh.

I'm in Silver V btw, and was last season too and never encountered so many trolls, hell in my entire climb from Bronze II to Silver V I never encountered this many trolls.

Any ideas on what's going on?

You and everybody else sucked, and let the good players down. It's funny how you perceive all good/skilled players who have to endure your game-throwing baddie-bullshit as "trolls". Trolls are people who actually have zero intentions of winning, and have every intention of deliberately ruining your games from the very beginning [aka: champion select]. Many do it out of retaliation towards lost games due to baddies while a select few actually do it for their sadistic entertainment and sexual gratification. Sadistic players = trolls, and retaliatory players are along similar wavelengths, though they have a valid reason when compared to actual sadists. The overloaded/retaliatory players should actually stop playing for a while [if not forever] though, but then they'll climb games a lot more slowly. It costs time and effort taking breaks, and their journey will be lengthened, but they should stop caring so much about ranked anyway, seeing how ranked isn't an accurate measure of skill, but it is a measure of win streaks.
