This is extremely simple. Voice chat. In my opinion this needs to be added ASAP. I can't wrap my head around the fact that a game that is based on team work doesn't give the players the best way possible to work together. PLEASE DO NOT add the argument that it will be annoying and people will abuse it. Most of us who play ranked are in it to win it and aren't childish and would benefit GREATLY. Answer the poll, and please RIOT I would die to hear you answer to as why this still isn't an option.

It's another communication barrier-- someone who might not be playing, or cannot play, with sound is inherently going to be left out. There's also the matter of if I want to hear your voice or not. And I don't, for the record; I should not have to listen to other people if I'm in a solo queue. In fact, the reason I'm IN a solo queue is probably because I want independence from other people in the queue.

If you want voice chat, use Discord, or Skype, or one of the million other programs. League does not need more excuses for people to be toxic (what do you mean you weren't listening to my voice chat? loser)

League gives its players a lot of things. It's those very players who fuck them up and twist them into something they shouldn't be.

Like pings.

You want voice chat, you get people who wanna hear your damn voice and you wrangle 'em into your own Discord. Don't drag uninvolved parties into this with your inability to get around whatever stops you from running a voice chat program.

Also, even if everyone is mature (fat chance, even in ranked (especially in ranked? idk)), anyone who wants to opt out (uncomfortable with people hearing their voice, doesn't have a good mic, doesn't have headphones and plays near people like in a dorm situation) suddenly gets no communication, not even pings, because people are unlikely to repeat what they said in chat if they bothered using voice chat, and are unlikely to use pings when they can give more detail via voice chat.

That's not to say voice chat should be banned or something- I merely think that the current set-up with using skype or discord is closer to optimal.
