I feel like the nerf on riven isn't warranted at all

Perhaps the movement speed is understandable, but the r missile speed is so painful to look at. I don't mind it being reduced, but by that much it just seems insane... usually players would predict the wind slash rather than just see it instantly and flash/pool/zhons/etc.. Now how I see it, it can be walked out of and almost never used to long range kill someone like the adc escaping with little health. I know a lot of riven players will feel this nerf hit hard and her wind slash is a big CORE of her strength contrary to the riot's statement on the nerfs.

That's because it isn't warranted. Her play rate is down 25% from a couple months ago, and the meta is hard on her as it is. She's literally never going to see pro play if this nerf goes through.

It's not that bad; it hasn't effected her damage at all, and will only really make a difference if you're trying to 'snipe' them from far away. She'll still be able to quickly burst someone down and cancel-R kill from up close.

Just because a champion doesn't see Pro play doesn't mean it's weak. Anivia is a /very/ strong champion yet sees no play on the professional level. Other champions that aren't weak but see no LCS play are Wukong,Viktor,Galio, Sona, and Malphite.

I never said she's weak, Riven is a strong champion and people who deny it are delusional. But being strong does not mean a champion needs nerfs.

The problem is the severity of these nerfs (they are more severe than they sound on paper), and the message they send. "Complain enough and you won't have to improve."

She's fine how she is, even if she suffers a bit in this meta, the game comes around in cycles, and if they left her alone she might see play on the pro circuit in the next meta shift, which is really all I can ask for.

I'd like to see another champion I play other than Orianna see pro play. (Kikis did pick Shaco, and I main Shaco, so that's nice, UoL are love, UoL are life.)

Edit: All of the champions you've listed except, I think Viktor? Have pretty decent Pro level careers, Malph and Anivia in particular were big deals Season 2.

Riven has also seen a bit of pro play in the past, but her record is shorter and less successful than some of those you mentioned.

But this is season 5, a lot of things have changed since then.

But yes, I also agree that I want to see more champion be picked into the LCS, and not immediately nerfed afterwards (Sona hasn't seen much proplay since her rework; especially in NA)
