Matchmaking for Ranked Flex

Hi everyone, typically I wouldn't come to post a discussion unless it was something i felt was important. What i wanted to ask about was the matchmaking for ranked flex queue. I'm typically a gold 4/5 player and have been around there for the last 3 seasons. Lately in the ranked flex queue ive been getting matched with bronze 2/3/4 on my team and have had to play against mostly gold 3 and above. Ive even had a coupld of plat 1 players in my game. I seriously don't understand why this is happening. its really frustrating and its at the point where i stopped playing because its just not fun anymore. Has anyone else found a similar problem? I'm just curious about everyone else in the system

Ranked Flex 5s doesn't take the ranking into account as it is trying to build up a new MMR for everyone that is playing it.

yah imagine you are playing ranked for the first time and everyone has the same base MMR to start with

Yeah, this is really frustrating because I am a gold/plat player but I rarely rank, and now when I did my ranked flex placements, my 4th game was a full plat team one side vs me, a silver, and three bronzes, and one of them was going to play Tristana top saying that she would win the lane, typing emojis and stuff. Finally he played garen and had 23 cs at 40:00. I felt like I just created my account and stopped ranking for the day.
