Creep block? Why is it still a thing?

I feel like creep block is a bad mechanic because of how unpredictable it feels right now, the boxes on creeps aren't visible and they aren't accurate so my character often gets bumped in weird ways. What do you guys think about Creep block as a mechanic? Do you feel like it's good or bad? why/why not?

For the people who downvoted, may I ask your opinion of creep block and why it's a good mechanic or fine as it is? I'm genuinely trying to understand the rationale
