League is so generic now

I've been playing league for the past couple years on various different accounts and from what I can draw from those years of game play and change is that the game is well... boring now and extremely generic. It's like riot took a hatchet to the old players and used the butt to sodomize them, the game now is all geared towards the new players who don't understand how fun it actually used to be, the game is so main stream now and it's just made me more and more demotivated to even log in, like i get when you rework a champ that is utterly useless or just has a terrible kit but champs like Galio and Irelia now are so over the top and non-essential that it literally seems pointless, what about kindred? her kit and ult both are terrible and can benefit either team, yes you may say there's some one tricks out there but the same could have been said for old Urgot. I can't ever play the same game I actually enjoyed playing 3 or 4 years ago and it just sucks, the game has been made to be so competitive and any fun it has is going to be killed by whatever team makes decision on gameplay, maps like dominion were genuinely fun and a GOOD part of the game but that doesn't matter if it's not making money does it? How can riot say they care about their player base if money is more important to them than the people playing?
