Thresh cannot use Relic Shield anymore. Why is it still recommended?

So, I'm not sure exactly when it was changed but Thresh's autoattacks are not considered melee anymore, and the tooltip for Relic Shields passive states that "melee autoattacks" will proc it. I realized this when i noticed after 2 games of starting relic shield i wasnt procing it. Again, idk if this has been brought up yet, but either way, i don't think relic shield should still be in his recommended build, it should've been changed right away

Thresh's AA have always been ranged.

Melee champion gets an execution on auto, ranged don't, so you gotta last hit with ranged champion

Thresh's autoattacks have always been ranged, so he doesn't get the execute. Last-hit using the Flay passive for the gold-share and healing.

Thresh is a tank support who wants durability, so the tank support item suits him rather well.

Yes, people have been posting this "bug" multiple times per week for years at this point. This is the intended functionality.

you just need to legit last hit the creep when you go relic on thresh... you can still proc the gold share and gold income of the item you just cant proc the execute on minions
