"PSA: I hate Kalista players" and other misguided Kalista complaints from "support mains"
I'm sure pretty much everyone who reads the Boards has already noticed that people's current favourite pastime activity is whining about how terrible supporting Kalista is. Here's what I think of all the complaining and bitching.
ALL KALISTAS ARE RETARDS AND RUIN MY GAMEPLAY BY ULTING ME AT TERRIBLE TIMES We're all people. People fuck up. I don't think most of the Kalistas intentionally grab their support to fuck up what they are doing. More likely, the Kalista probably read the situation differently and decided that they needed a knockup right that very moment.
And so what if she did grab you at a wrong time? Just dash for the knockup and continue on with what you're doing. It's not like she prisons you in the ulti for the rest of the fight.
OMG, KALISTA CAN FORCIBLY SOULBIND ME/WHY DOESN'T THIS IDIOT KALISTA BIND WITH THE JUNGLER INSTEAD, OMG Why exactly shouldn't Kalista bind with her support...?
Fate's Call is not purely an initiation tool. It can save the support from a gank/misposition or easily win a 2v2 skirmish with the extra burst of CC. Tell Kalista to wait until you have used up your cooldowns. Ta da, you can still be relevant even though your entire kit is on cooldown. Again, if she misuses it by activating it too early, just use the insane CC provided and continue on normally.
Not binding with the support also makes Kalista's W passive completely obsolete. 12% max HP burst activated by simply autoattacking the same target (or the support's AA + Pierce). Can be easily procced by ranged supports for poke and by melee supports for extra burst during an all-in. Yet some people do not want this. Guess free broken damage isn't everybody's thing.
KALISTA SHOULDN'T BIND WITH ME, I'M A SQUISHY SUPPORT, WHY WOULD I WANT TO END UP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ENEMY TEAM? Yeah... Except you won't end up in the middle of anything. If you collide with a target during Fate's Call's dash, you are placed at your maximum AA range from the first target hit. Perfect position for, say, Sona, Nami or Lulu to continue their onslaught of CC from.
Squishies are also usually more capable to proc Sentinel than melee tanks. Seriously, the passive damage is broken. Abuse it.
KALISTA'S ULTI IS TOXIC BECAUSE THE SUPPORT CAN'T DECIDE WHEN THEY ARE PULLED AND KALISTA CAN'T DECIDE WHEN THE SUPPORT IS THROWN Probably the stupidest thing I've read so far. Teamwork. Learn2.

Kalista is a champion with insane amounts of power packed in her, yet locked behind the impossible-for-some-to-pass barrier of requiring a certain level of teamwork and, most importantly, TRUST between the bound pair. Maybe you complaining "support mains" have trouble trusting your ADC? You treat them like a retard, playing with the attitude of "I'm gonna have to carry this scrub to win this game because I'm the main character of this anime and I'm the only good player on my team!!!!111"?
Yeah. No wonder Kalista and whoever plays her seems to suck to you. Maybe an attitude check could help?

Personally I think she is extremely fun to play with and the level of synergy you can achieve with her is amazing. The champ is probably broken. I'm waiting with dread for someone to truly learn her.
