How do I get Blue Essence?

Okay, so I got 15000 blue essence from the preseason and I got one of those 4800 champs, but since then I'm stuck at level 35 with still 10000 BE. I mean, I could sell some of the champion shards I got, but those are worth 90 or 270 BE, how the hell am I supposed to save enough and not die of old age before I can buy one expensive champ? Before this, I had to fight for a week or so, now I don't know where the BE is coming but it's getting real frustrating to see how they push us to expend real money for new rune pages (I know they cost 6300 each, but how am I supposed to save for that, again?) and champs. I guess that beyond level 40 things get better, but I don¡t feel like this new system is better than the previous, it's 0 rewarding actually. What do you guys think?

Level up to get champ shards. Disenchant the champ shards.

It's better than the old system, you unlock champs faster in the long run.

Dude, champs are a bit cheaper with the shards (a 4800 champ is 3780 now), but since I spent all my blue essence and I have no fount of income, how do I pay the 3780? Do you get it? Its like okay now you can get champs shards, but if you completely deny the fount of BE, how do I pay them?? It's freaking impossible, it will be months before I can do that. Most of the champs I get disenchant for 90 BE. Last time I received Morgana and Singed, how do I keep up? It's not rewarding at all. I've never complained about anything, improvise, adapt and overcome, but this new system is complete bullshit.

You do have a fount of income: Play games Get XP Level up Get champ shards Disenchant the champ shards

Every level-up gives a minimum of 810 BE and averages closer to 1,000 and milestones are worth over 2k. Over the cycle of levels to reach a milestone you'll have earned shards worth more BE than you would have gained in IP over the same number of games.

Dude, I get it, I get the concept, you think that in the long run it will be beneficial. However, it's just absurd to me that I don't get to choose which champion I'll be looking forward to unlocking, and that my income has to provain from selling shards. The previous system had sense, I could save for a week or so and then get any champ. Now, I have to wait a week (and this time will be increasing) to open a chest with unknown and random champs and 810 BE, expect that some of them I may like or even fit my style and usual role, sell the rest for a miserable quote and wait for a milestone to happen, to get (wait for it) 2000 BE!! Which is not even half the price for a champ like Lee Sin. I don't know how you may like this, not having any control over what you want and get, but it's quite funny of you to defend it. There's a general feeling of this system being quite the turd, and some people think Riot is starting to push players into expending money. I don't really understand the change, there was no need and I fail to see the advantage. It's even ugly to have your income coming of selling champ shards. Nevertheless, thank you for your feedback.

You can buy champs directly in the shop, there’s no need to wait until you get a shard for a specific champ. Even if you only buy champs at max price through the shop, the new system will let you unlock more champs at a faster pace.

Xp requirements will not keep increasing, they will always reset to the same values after a milestone.

You say “a week” to unlock a champion but for all but the 2 cheapest tiers of champions, that would have been a ridiculously high rate of play under the IP system. 2 weeks for a 3150, 3 for a 4800, and 4 for a 6300 was closer to correct under the IP system.

People think the new system sucks because they don’t pay attention to what is happening, have completely warped expectations about champ unlock rates, and are hypersensitive due to mistakes from a certain other video game company right now.

Ok definitely you don't quite understand it. Just suppose I've 0 BE. Just suppose, ok? I'm at level 30 an I've 0 BE. Ok, so now suppose I play as a jungle, and I have like half of all the champs. To buy a new champ, I'm going to have to wait until I level up and magically and luckily get the champ shard and make my buy easier, or, like it was in my case, get 2 champs valued in 90 BE. Now I have 180 BE. Ok, 3 days have passed and I level up again, and I get the same thing, with the exception that I get twice the same champ valued in 90 BE and a new one, valued in 270. Yaiii I have 630 BE after 2 levels up and one week. See it or don't? I mean, before all of this I could make 1500 in 3 to 4 days. Really easy. And I didn't receive those extra BE for leveling up as you mention. A currency which used to be acquired each game shouldn't be equivalent to a currency that cannot be acquired at all or depends on RNG. And please, the XP requirements stop increasing at level 150, don't try to fool me, before that, good luck.

Anyways, with that starting line you had me in tears, lol, thanks for the info about how to buy champs. And I don't really care about all the EA fuss, I don't play or buy their games, and live longer and happier. Maybe it's a bit presumptuous of you to think people are mad about this because of that, 2edgy4me I guess. I just want to buy what I want, I don't need this mommaritocares, random and apparently free giving system which nobody asked for. The old system was ok and gave free will to buy and give your best to access a champ. Deal with it.

Well it happened, and last time (level 34) I got two Warwicks. You know I can't show it to you, but why would I lie? Anyways, don't bother answering again if you can't control yourself, my boring friend. Byebye. Btw, that Bioshock reference was pretty lame.

If you REALLY only got 180 BE from a level-up capsule post 30 then you should instead submit a bug report, but I'm going to tell you what actually happened: You either opened an honor capsule, a hextech chest, or you disenchanted an extra shard that came out of your level capsule and forgot about it. Then you went on the forum in a huff to complain about something that didn't happen. Then you get defensive about what you think you saw despite the fact that I've seen it happen 5 times in a row now.
