@RIOTLYTE Reform for every summoner despite their history

majesticpr··15 votes·1,257 views

I've been suspended for 14 days this season and I will admit that I've been a toxic player. But to neglect end of the season awards for those players is a little excessive. The idea to give players who have been chat/rank restricted or low priority queues a chance to reform by changing their attitude for the rest of the season is great, especially because they know what is at stake. With the same mentality, I believe that ANY player (7~14 day ban/excessively leaving games) will change their attitude towards the games in the future upon realizing that they will not receive end of the season rewards. There were several posts about players who are under the not-receiving end of the criteria, intentionally trolling games because they realize it wouldn't matter in the end anyway. Giving the opportunity to change for EVERY player will make the community a less toxic, humane environment inside the rift.

P.S. Thank you to anyone taking their time to read my post ^_^

Yet you agreed to the summoners code which was the beginning of this game so you shouldn't get rewards because you agreed to it when you started.

Despite every summoner agreeing to the code, toxic players will still exist. In the end I believe this will help improve the attitudes of many toxic players and give them a fair chance at earning their rewards they have worked VERY hard at.

Giving them the full ban will improve their behavior, not babying them because they were toxic and missed out on something special. They shouldn't have been toxic in the first place and if they miss it that's their fault, they agreed to the summoner's code and so did you and if you or they broke it that's your fault, and you are rightfully punished no matter what the time.

I agree that toxic players shouldn't have had bad behavior in the first place. But not giving those players the very reason they play league of legends (ranked icon, border, skin, etc.) seems a bit extreme to me

Riot is pretty much telling the players to go away and not come back.

I thought that was what permaban was for.

They would rather you walk away yourself then permaban you

If you are acting toxic enough to get punished to the point of losing stuff, then no offense, I'm saying the same.

People that act like that, to such a degree they get punishments in this game (I've seen people do some ridiculous stuff and not get punished), then yeah I'm right there with them. You are only making this game worse for others, and obviously only thinking of yourself and your rewards, and don't seem to care until they are taken away.....basically proving Riot is doing the RIGHT thing, cause they can't make you care otherwise.

Ya but you wouldn't understand some of the people who are this way. Not all of them are intentionally acting this way. Alot of them are just really salty people. Like me.

I dont intend to be mean in game, things just trigger me and i cant control myself. You effectively say i dont deserve to try to struggle just because other people make me mad. why not kill me while you are at it because pretty much your mentality is saying i dont deserve to live.

Then maybe you shouldn't have, as you just said, acted toxic in the first place.

Maybe you should have thought about that during all the times that got you punished?

You are basically going "I'm gonna act a fool screw you guys!" then "Wait, what do you mean you aren't giving me stuff too?" If you were playing for the borders, then maybe you should have played the game, instead of acting in whatever way that you admit to, that got you punished.

Seems you were playing to act toxic, not get rewards, because in what world do you think you can act a fool and then get the same rewards as people who weren't acting a fool. Seriously, how does that actually make sense to you?

... wut? If you're playing League it shouldn't be because of a border or a skin or whatever, it should be because its a fun game or you're competitive. Granted those borders or whatever can be a show of your competitive side but its not the very reason you play League, just being in Plat+ should be enough pride I'd think.

No it won't. IF you act "toxic" as you worded it, get punished, but still get rewards, then what is the point?

People will just go "what does it matter how I act, you are going to give me stuff anyways, so shrugs". Obviously this way is working as people that are toxic (as you yourself said you were) are complaining about this, which means it bothers them. I think that is pretty good incentive right there.

You want your rewards, don't act toxic.

You get punished for being toxic, you don't get your rewards.

That seems pretty straight forward.

So basically, if toxic players get the same rewards as people like me who have never even been warned in 5 years of playing, what is the point of trying to be one of the "good players"? All that will do is cause people to stop caring and create more toxic players.

Some people are afraid to even respond to the actual toxic players in ranked so they won't get reported, but if the toxic people still get the same benefits anyways, then what is the point? You aren't learning anything aside from you can do whatever and get the same regardless, and that is sending the wrong message quite frankly.

When you agree to something, you agree to written policy, not inferred policy and experimental policy

I don't get why would that make this happen 3 months before season ends, that like telling everyone "you shall now GO ALL OUT in toxicity," because regardless of your hard work grinding to gold or not. YOU WILL NOT GET REWARD. If you want this to happen, you should implemented at the beginning of the season. Not piss everyone off even more now and release it near at the end of the season. I'm just gonna see how hard is riot going straight down hill with the server transfer strike, now this. Being balance in ping seems legit and fair, but telling people who used to low ping and randomly spike up to 60-70 ping is like telling people who are Right-handed to write with their left hand, FORCEFULLY. NO CHOICE.

...Really? Half the U.S had over 100 ping, a fourth had 70+, a eight had 50+, and another eight had very low pings. Guess what, you gained some ping! The vast majority of players no longer have .2+ second delays on everything! Your analogy would work if, say, Riot changed it so you gained 600-700 ping, but going up to 60-70? That on a GOOD day was still over what I had pre server change, and I live in the lower center of the U.S. You are trying to compare players being bad enough, consistently, to get week+ bans not getting bonus rewards to people getting a ping increase to a number still below what over half the country (and likely continent) had.

El Harambe1 votes

I don't think you understand people who are from the lower ping went up to higher ping is a big difference then from high ping to low ping. even faker him self said he can't play the game if his ping go to 15-30 he has to play at singe digit ping.

The delay you are very used to after all these years it suddenly change is a huge difference. You do not compare people who are already started playing with such ping with people who do not start with the same ping as you.

Nice, 100 ping just becomes 130-150, game is basically unplayable.

They did not say that. They said their ping spiked UP TO 60-70 ping; as in, their ping became 60-70.

Yes, but some people had 100 ping before the servers got moved, and now their ping is insanely high zzz. People in the west coast, not just east coast.

OR you could act like a decent person, and not only "act" good enough to get some rewards. That says a lot more about you than it says about Riot implementing this 3 months before rewards.

The fact that this thread and these posts are even getting upvotes says a lot about how sad the community has become over the past year.

People act toxic, then expect to never get reported, never get punished, get all the rewards, and for no one to be able to say they were wrong.

That logic blows my mind.
