EAST COAST deserves a legitimate update @Riot

East coast and surrounding areas have been ignored for far too long. We deserve an actual update on this issue and considering you have accumulated in excess of $ONE BILLION USD as of 2014 there is NO excuse for this blatantly unprofessional behavior from a company of this caliber.If you can't admit that the Chinese company,Tencent which owns Riot,refuses to provide funding to the NA region or whatever the case may be;WE DESERVE AN ANSWER. China has TWENTY SEVEN servers throughout their country,while NA,which is running off of ONE SERVER doesn't deserve at least a centralized server to balance the ping disadvantage where the vast majority of people in NA live?

I for one have already given up on playing with a constant ping over 140,but this won't stop me from making a post every single day until these PAYING CUSTOMERS get the recognition and treatment they deserve which is around FIVE YEARS over-due.

Shame on this stingy ,parsimonious company for further establishing that they care about nothing more than filling their pockets with customers money while spitting in their face and feeding them false hopes for an unjustifiably long period.

Guys, Riot already said they're going to move their server, relax. In a few weeks they're moving it down the street. Our ping will be 139.99999999 instead of 140. Isn't that enough for you people? Riot is so totally the victim here. They're doing their best! :c They care about their customers! :^)

Seriously though? 27 servers in China? What the actual fuck Riot.

See how the the red on the east is in a triangle? Well for people connected in the midwest , LAN servers are just as far away as NA, so why would I want to play on lan? Also for everyone on the northern east coast (massive population) LAN server Isn't that close either.

So stop telling people to move to LAN servers and be happy when for many its just as laggy and the fact that your playing on a LATIN AMERICAN SERVER. I don't want to see huehuehue jajaja every game, and we shouldn't have to.

If they can make a server for turkey, and have about 30 servers in china, there's absolutely no reason they cant make an east coast server. And yes you can sync them so no matter if your playing on east or west coast server, you will all still be playing together.

There's absolutely NO reason that they shouldn't build an east coast/midwest server. /end rant

110 ping is a joke. Even across the continent/coast to coast it should be better. I have played on Cali servers from Montreal with less than 90 ping many times. In fact I used to have 70 - 80ping to Riot's server. Now 110... S A D

If an opponent has 40ping and you have 110ping - they have a large advantage. I know this. It is fact. Don't even try to dispute it.

As someone who has had the luxury to play on both sides of the American coast, I can definitely say there is a massive difference between playing on the East Coast and West Coast. East Coast is at such a disadvantage it's not even funny.

For those that claim that it makes no difference, please shut up, this is coming from someone who's residence resides in the West Coast AND has experience on both sides of the coast.

Riot isn't ignoring this. They have already stated what's what.

They have outright stated that they have no desire or plans to make an NA East Server.
(AFAIK) Moving the servers to a more central location has not been expounded upon, nor plans released since the notion was made.
Riot desires to "address" NA East ping without doing anything to their servers.

In essence, Riot has no intention and no plans to do anything of substance about the issue of NA East Cost ping.

As a LoL player from Florida I logged in just to upvote this post. I understand economics but with the revenue generated from this game maintaining a second server should fix more headaches than it should cause. But its all about that bottom line so we'll see if they decide to do anything.

I wish I could upvote this more. This reddit style forum seems to bury any criticism quickly.

I came back recently after a long hiatus and I don't remember it was this bad before. It isn't just the constant 110 ping, but I'll get spikes in fights sometimes which would be unplayable. I'll probably go on another long hiatus because it seems as though riot just wants to sweep this under the rug.

I live in New York and I work with a 90 Ping via Wired Connection. While I agree that having only 1 Server is....disappointing That's all the advice I can give at this time. It also makes sense as to why when the Server Crashes there isn't any backup. How much is it for a new Server? Can we fund it? Fundraiser? Just so that Rito won't have to deal with this issue with the players?

I agree. NA customers deserve some reassurance that this is being acknowledged and hopefully have plans to address it.

GUys this isn't caused by riots server positions, or anything geological.

From west to east coast you can get 30-50 ms. The reason you don't is because American ISP's 'throttle' the fuck out of packets. They just don't bother to upgrade their infastructure.

This is whats causing your ping issues. Stop blaming riot. This issue wouldn't be happening if ISP's weren't such monopolistic cunts as they are.

Sorry to say but you're barking at the wrong tree. Try using a VPN. That will probably short fix your problem and get you under 100ms ping.

Good VPN's I've found are GoTrusted and WTFast. You'll have to contact support for specific IP's though for proper connect when using Go Trusted, but it works.
