Rambling Time
I've played on and off since just after beta, it's had its ups and downs. Used to play bruisers with a lot of HP regen, then they removed Force of Nature, and lowered all the other hp regen items, so I switched to ap mids, had a lot of fun as Anivia, Orianna and Lux, still do occasionally. For the most part now I support.
I only really play with a few friends i Know from back in school who I've kept in touch with, and Skype makes Kill lanes really easy to coordinate, our favourites right now being either Karma/Diana ( with something like a graves mid) , or Anivia/Graves. but since the last few updates I've noticed a rather shitty trend, our lane easily goes double digit kills with almost no deaths, but we lose the game. At first i just thought its Pugs at admittedly low elo because we only play casually and i drop out for weeks at a time before returning, but then there's a few games where all of our lanes do okay, and we cleanup bot, and gank mid for easy kills, games where the teams are 20 or so to less than 10 kills, but we still end up losing. At this point i assume its because as a support I'm not getting enough auras or CC, so I start playing more to that, and still the same results. what I've noticed is that there are points in the game where champions such as Yi and Nasus hit a point where they can 1 vs 3 or more, and even at 180 or so ar/mr and a frozen heart with 3k hp, they still kill me, and my teammates, in seconds. Why? Why should any champion, ( Those two just being a few most recent examples ), be able to do so much against so many after having been denied so hard. I am aware that a Nasus left unchecked can farm and be a threat no matter his score, but 20 mins in and multiple deaths? Even when exhausted Yi ( I'm aware his ult makes him unable to be slowed) has enough speed and damage to kill me in less than 3 seconds. That feels kind of like a cop out.
My only solace right now is that Anivia can hold her own against most champions, and the game can still be fun even when losing.
Not trying to sound too bitchy, and just wondering, why?
