A Plat 5 can easily have Gold MMR. A Silver 1 can easily have Gold MMR. MMR is what is used to match players together.

That person got their account boosted to platinum and clearly was silver to begin with. In shortness, his MMR dropped back after the booster stop boosting.

He was in placements when we played against each other. He got placed in Plat 5 after placements. He said he was a diamond 2 smurf. Talk about unfair.
