Lux...

I hate Lux. She (Along with some other "supports" Zilean Nidalee Morgana ) deals too much damage to be a support. Sure she has a snare, but just because she has some utility abilities (hehe, rhymes) doesn't mean she is a support. Now I'm not saying you SHOULDN'T play her support, but when you do, don't go full AP! Every time I see a Lux support, she starts with Dorans Ring, gets a Ludens Echo, a Morellonomicon, a Rabadons, etc.

I played her support once. I build Frostfang, a Banshee's Veil, a Locket of the Iron Solari, and a Frozen Heart. My purpose in that game was to get my carry's fed and just be there. Sure I'd use my ult to kill confirm when I knew no one else on my team would be able to get it, but that's okay for supports.

And you know in mirror matchups they say "Oh, well my team's _____ sucks compared to their team's _____" WELL THAT'S TRUE WITH LUX! No lie, the two games that i've had a lux on my team, she NEVER landed her Q (Okay, like 5 times throughout the whole 40 minute game...), failed to shield us, ulted to KS or ulted and COMPLETELY MISSED ANY ENEMIES, and she just sucked! One of those games was a mirror match up, and while my Lux was sucking, their Lux (SUPPORT) was carrying the game with over 600 AP and 18 kills. And the snare, don't even get me started. Every time I flash, jump, hop, arcane shift, slide, body slam, etc. away from the snare, IT HITS ME! Like pls ;-; i cri eretim...

So what I'm saying is, the next time you play Lux, either play her mid, play her support NOT full AP, or don't play her at all.

Typical Lux Game http://i64.tinypic.com/2z8w4cn.jpg

Edit: R.I.P, didn't mean to post this in Gameplay... ;-;

... I'm trying to understand your argument for WHY you should not build AP on Lux, but I'm not seeing it. Not only does AP contribute to her damage, but it contributes to her shield, which means her team doesn't die so quick.

Whether or not Lux hits a Q or not is wholly irrelevant to the question of to AP or not to AP. You can have all the AP in the game or none of it; it doesn't change whether you hit or don't hit with it.

So... Try again maybe with the problem of Lux as a support (Snare, linear AoE shield, AoE slow, great poke), or why she shouldn't build AP.

Also, dunno where this idea came from that a "Support" can never get kills. If the Support suddenly turns into the carry, because the ADC either can't secure their own kills or is just being that heavily countered, then great. You're still in the game. ADCs can, if the game goes long enough, farm enough to become relevant again. And then you've got TWO carries. So, points off there too.
