Hello a zilean supp here

I am a bronze player an just so you know i just play for the fun of the game. i main supp and i have done that for a year and a half (i know that he is not the best supp but i like him and he is the best i can play) and every time i pick him i get a lot of hate just because he is not one of the best champs out there but i always ask if they know what my ult do(i know a lot of new players who dont know.) and i always tell my team mate to just do there best and that its a team game(i hate when they complain about being killed by 2 - 4 champs) and what do i get for it a lot of hate and degrading comments but i just take it with stride and that its a team game and that as long as the enemy is dead then it do not matters who get what kill. Why do people hate zilean item 3070Zileanitem 3070 so much i mean if you can play him right then he is a beast well thanks for reading this and pls tell me of your own stories about your favorite champs that get a lot for hate:) pls no flames or toxic comments :)

The same goes for hate. Zilean isn't particularly common, so people at the levels of play who realistically know the least won't understand him at all. If they don't know his strengths and weaknesses they will make assumptions, and odds are good those assumptions will be wrong.

My best piece of advice is to not play him AP. A little AP is fine, particularly in the early game, but later on you want to be a CDR tank. Make it so the enemy team physically cannot burst you down, and so your ultimate always goes off. Grab Ultimate hat and that extra 5% CDR mastery from inspiration and keep whoever is hard carrying your game from dying.

They can't focus you because you're tanky, and they can't focus your carry because of your ult (and hopefully GA). Be the lose-lose situation they fear.

yeah i know build up to 45% ap, i go item 3003 for the mana save and item 2301 as supp item and the rest is mostly base on how we are doing. if we are doing good then i go a lot of ap just so i can help and if we are losing then i go tank so my build is based on how well we are doing but thanks for you advice becaus unlike a lot of bronze players i know that im not the best player out there and if i do a mistake then i dont blame it on anyone else :)

My staff is a good one.

I've never been flammed for taking him largely because by level 8 he's a super monster that makes ganks on the bot lane almost impossible (assuming you're maxing slow first).

yeah i know right. but i usely go bomb,rewind, ult and slow and the games where the team work together or just playing for fun i get like 25 -30 assist, 2 - 3 deaths and 6 - 8 kills because the players who plays just want the enemy dead and dont care about who has the most kills but if we are having a though time then i will try your way :) (i pick my first rank in the best summoner 3 every at lvl 4 or lvl 3)

Idk about his itemization though, at 40 min e falls off

sorry for stupid question but do you mean his skill e? because i find that if you time e right you can possibly use his ult on him self or his teammates only to die then revive stun them and the flash away and put e on him for extra measure alternative you can skip exhaust and go ignite for the extra dmg or heal for en extra heal because his e is like an even better exhaust because if you chose aery, comet or scorch then your exhaust like ability do dmg :) but if you mean something else then pls clerefy as i like to get a lot of advice because then i can get better at it :)

i meant "he" ,was a typo, if you go unsealed you can start ignite and if winning lane fails change to exhaust or heal

aha then im sorry for giving you that message. yeah i guess he becomes a bit worse at 40 min mark but my matches basely end at 20 - 30 min so i have no idea about that. oh i have never thought about that i shall try it in a normal game first and if that goes well then i will test it at ranked :)

I've played a lot of Zilean support since season 3. He's not my top pick as a support and I only choose him if I know that he'll go well with a team composition that can "snowball". Take an enemy Draven for instance. Throw Zilean bombs where Draven's axe's are ascending to. Also Zilean's E at max level is like a Thresh ult wall but on a very low cool down; and not to mention the massive speed boost for hyper carries. Zil's kit is very nice against assassins and is strong in early game compositions. However in terms of going against gap closing champions; like Pantheon or Xin Xhao, then you should not play him.

To give my opinion I am taking into perspective that new players are only complaining because you picked Zilean rather than complaining about your play style. If your carry dies while you are there with your ult up and you miss a chance to impair enemy movement for your advantage then it's your fault, obviously, but if they die after you've performed the best to your abilities then it's their fault for making false judgement. The best thing to do in this situation is to learn from your mistakes and to adhere in difficult situations. Unfortunately those who complain cannot be helped. If your team mates are giving you problems Riot implemented an in-game ignore chat/emotes/pings feature as well as a player reporting after the game.

yeah i usually just play zilean because he is the champ i play the best when it comes to support and often enough my team wins but some times something happens that i cant control like someone's internet dont work, we simply because we meet a team of better player or i do a mistake because i did not have the mana or my team mates is outh of range or i pop the ult to soon because i know im not one of the best zilean player but every time someone give me advice on what i can do better i take it and trust me i know where the mute button is :)

Im a support main. Zillean and one of the best gamechanging ults in the game, your teamates are silly.

I can play pretty much any support decently and efforlessly. Although, my fave support is surprisingly off-meta. She is Orianna and I build support, no AP.

And ohh boii, you wouldnt believe the amount of shit I have to deal with until they see how useful and good I actually am. Should you mess up and die, or let the AD die or even if your TOP laner or MID laner is 0/10, you bet your ass that my teamates will blame me afterall I am the reason they're losing, its my non meta pick that makes them lose when they lose, everything would be fine if I was a Lulu/Janna :^)

Others are easier to play as, Ori supp is more difficult,but I make it work nicely and with conssitency, like clockwork (pun intended)

Banning her makes me want to pick Temmo, still do my best to win the game, but I will certainly pick Teemo. It's the correct course of action IMO. Bonus points if you start the game and say:"enjoy muh shields", dont get a SS and ward with Shrooms with ult hat and 60%CDR Ult. ... Teemo supp can be avoided if asked nicely to play other support though which lest be real, doesnt happen often. The solution is not hover her or.... play with premades, my friends all enjoy my OriSupp and many times will figh for a chance to play with her.
