Depending on who im going agains ti've been getting a smiteless leash, and running over and smiting the enemy junglers buff. I also run ignite so sometimes i get the cheese kill too. Honestly you have to kill someone pre 3. If you just farm your jungler you'll never have enough HP to get out and gank. so take advantage of preservnce talent so ward early, and find the vulenrable lanes. I've been doing good with her all pre season so far. only time I just make sure i get my stalkers blade asap, and upgrade it to runeglaive.

I get the idea of trying to early cheese but there ought to be an equally-viable plan B, right? I mean, I use Shaco all the time, and if I don't get that early game cheese off, I can still bring it back by abusing what makes Shaco, Shaco. What can Evelynn do to bring it back if she doesn't get that pre-3 cheese?

I hear you man, you dont really have the option to just " go farm your jungle" early on. You need to actively be looking for kills on the map and utilize smite to clear your jungle without taking a lot of damage. I'll be honest with you with the current changes i rarely ever do scuddle crab it takes a lot of mana to kill. I do my buffs, and i look for kills on the map and try to anticipate where the enemy jungler is. On a side note, once you have runeglaive completed you can farm your jungler pretty easy. If you're struggling to keep pressure up on the map dont be bashful to get homeguard mobility boots after a lost teamfight to get back in there and try to get some picks on people recalling or force a dragon or push down a tower. Eve has some decent split push potential with blue buff and gromp buff if nothing else is going on and you need to catch up and push a couple waves. If you have mobilty boots, runeglaive , and rhailys scepter around 18 / 21 minutes you're on pace to a successful game. I def know there are stronger junglers this patch, but you Eve has a lot of escape potential too. youd be suprised how many ults/summoners someone will blow when your a bit ahead and you E Q someone in passing and W away immeditley after. I've often had people think I was all inning them and use a lot of their moves which sets you up for a re engage a bit after. You just really need to be concious of your team, who is doing well and play along side them.

its probably different in higher ranking, but at silver, even when an enemy is overextended, i rarely have follow up from my laners. (or the champs they pick arent great for following up ganks). i feel like eve relies so much on her team to follow up early on, and i dont have that happenin as often anymore. im not sure if its just because the shift in the meta or what but its frustrating as hell now.
