Hextech Crafting - Is it worth it?

I recently purchased the 1950 RP Hextech Chest Bundle. Purchasing RP is a rare occurrence so I was disappointed when, upon opening my 10 chests, 6 of them contained champion shards. I feel that these statistics do not accurately reflect the values of either the bundle, or that of Riot Games. Players should feel excited about purchasing and using the Hextech Chests; rather, I was left feeling taken advantage of and disappointed. I am sure that I am not the only player to have experiences such as this. I would suggest putting into place actions that would mitigate the chances of receiving such a high number of champion shards. People don't purchase Hextech Chests for items that can be purchased with IP!

Has anyone else had related experiences with the Hextech Crafting system that left you feeling horrible after?

RIOT PLEASE DO SOMETHING!!!

The odds are not fair in Hextech Crafting and you are truly gambling that you will get something you want.

You are lucky I've opened about 8 chests and have gotten nothing but skins. It actually sucks because I can't get any crystals to use my champion mastery tokens on...

I am one of the few people that rarely gets champion shards from hextech crafting. I think it might have to do with the fact that I only own like 90 something champs, so they want to encourage me to buy more champs for the skins I get, which for the most part I have gotten really good rolls. I have gotten Spirit Guard Udyr twice, multiple 1820 skins, and multiple 1350 skins. I for sure think that it's not RNG most of the time, but a marketing scheme to make you spend more money.
